Description: The restaurant "El Paititi " (El Dorado) was once part of the palaces of the Inca nobility and was the residence of Tupac Yupanqui, the sovereign tenth Inca and successor of Pachacutec, who took correinado probably between 15 and 20 years. After the death of his father became absolute position of power around 30 years. The place was part of the religious and cultural center of the capital of the Inca empire. After the conquest was occupied by the Spaniards who surrounded him temples and built mansions. Our cuisine is complemented with Peruvian dishes from the region of Cusco , national and international . We also complemented with a proposal of Shushi , pastas and pizzas.

Live, Peruvian music, great food, awesome service, great Atmosphere. You won't regret this place. I read the other reviews about the musicians, but come on, support the artists!! We ate here for our last meal and it was literally perfect.

We went here to try the traditional guinea pig. Both my boyfriend and I really enjoyed this dish. The waiter brought the guinea pig out first and let us take pictures before they cleaned out the inside and prepared it for us, as tourists, to eat easier. The service was good. The only awkward thing was that they had a band playing who kept coming around with a basket for tips throughout the meal. We enjoyed the music, but not the multiple interruptions asking for tips.

Don't know why the reviews were kinda bad here. We tried the restaurant and had the best meal at Cusco - excellent food and service! the place is also located in the center of the city.

We had ceviche, traditional pork, and cuy at the restaurant. the trout was very fresh, and pork was crispy outside and tender inside. the cuy was the best. the cuy took a long time to prepare, but it was worth the wait!

of course, the price was not low compared to average price in the city. but we felt the taste of the food was worth the price!

Like everywhere in Cusco you should pay.... First of all before you order the musicians want to sell their CD s or ask for some tip...after you pay they leave the restaurant...

I took the speciality the Cuyalhorno...baked... Guinea pig... it was on the table after 15 minutes..obviously it could not have been baked in that time.. it was so tough that it was impossible
to cut the crusted skin..obviously it was done days before...and just put in the micro wave... the meat tasted accordingly the sweet potatoes...was aswell not to be cut... A big disappointment
after all.... the soup we had as entry was ok...

The kitchen has to improve...and the meat should be prepared fresh... but enough tourist come in every day and don't complain... so there will be little chance it will improve in future..

No sign of excuse..no free offer of coffee ..... just the plain bill 127 soles... for 2 persons.. much to high for something that i gave back, tried about 10 % ...
