My sister and I stayed at In Casita for five nights in total. It's family-owned and operated. Rosa and her family were very kind and always ready to help. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. However, they get pretty cold at night (we were there in June). The next day we told Rosa and she brought a space heater to our room, which definitely solved the issue. The location is about 40 minutes walking from the city center. We enjoyed walking over, but that may not be for everyone. They let us keep our luggage in our room while we did a 4-day hike. We returned afterwards and stayed there during our last night in Cusco. This is a great value and we enjoyed our stay a lot. I would definitely stay here again!

We were 4 (50+) Canadians on a short 5 day/4nt stay in Peru. In Casita was the base for our tours. We spoke minimal Spanish yet we were able to communicate all needs with Rosa/Georgina through our broken Spanish English phrases and the use of google translation.
We spent one night at MP/Aguas Calientes and Rosa stored our large luggage to meet our needs. In Casita was located in a safe area near easy transportation (4-5 soles cab fair to Plaza Armas), full supermarket, bank ATM's and other commercial options. The light breakfast of egg/bread/jam n coffee was great to start each day and an early wake up call was available upon request. The outside balcony was a great rest area from the altitude n tours of Cusco.
The rooms are close thus a light sleeper will hear street and local noises (a background noise machine may be helpful. The rooms offer comfort and full bathroom at a very reasonable price.
We wish we could have spoken a little more Spanish nonetheless Rosa and Georgina were great hosts and made our stay very enjoyable.
Thank you to all In Casita staff.

The reviews were great and our stay was also great, but it didn't hit me just how well-suited In Casita was to us until my brother, on returning from a grueling hike in the rainforest, said on going back to In Casita - "we can rest when we get home".

In Casita is several kilometers from the city center, but we found its location ideal. It is located in a cul-de-sac next to a major street. On the corner is the SuperMercado - a perfect source for water, snacks, and an evening ice cream. When you take a taxi into the city (4 Soles) and come back, it was easy to tell them to stop at the SuperMercado. Lining the main street are plenty of places to eat; extremely convenient after a day trip, when you can just leave your bags in your room and walk two or three minutes to grab some chicken and potatoes at a local hole-in-the-wall. And did I mention that it's pretty flat? It's a neighborhood area were, people live and work, students go to school, and at night - occasional car alarms would go off, which made it seem like we were visiting family.

We had the same room on both individual stays - room #3 - a double. The beds weren't the greatest, but the rooms were clean - especially the bathroom. Each bed had a decent pillow and a fluffy down blanket to keep you nice and warm on those cold nights. There was a small TV with cable and a remote, a chair, table, a place to hold your bag, and well wired lighting.

It was a very comfortable and homey room. Not glamorous, but cozy. The staff was very kind and we were able to communicate with my horrible Spanish and their limited English. There is an old computer on the ground floor for us to use and they did our laundry for a reasonable price. There is a small lounge upstairs with a larger TV.

Breakfast was filling. There was bread, eggs, some fruit, coffee, juice, and, of course, coca tea. Our day tours had no problem finding the place and picking us up and the staff took messages for us while we were out, which was very much appreciated. They were happy to help arrange taxis or tours if need be.

We would definitely stay here again and I would recommend In Casita to those visiting Cusco and want a literal home away from home.

We went to incasita after a terrible experience at another hostel and we were so very relieved and happy when we arrived in our room, no 5. So cosy, good beds with clean white sheets. Pretty and clean bathroom. Many blankets so you won't be freezing. And not to mention the hospitality of the owner and her lovely mum. We were so very well taken care of that we still talk about it and compare every place we go with their lovely spot. A bit out of town, but it only costs about 3 soles to take a mini taxi and its definitely worth it. Close to the big supermarket and they have a basic kitchen you can use. Georgina will make you breakfast and the orange juice is so fresh and tasty. I can't write enough good things about this place. Also I would like to recommend a restaurant just around the corner on avenida cultural, tayta Fe I think its called.. their noodle wook was amazing as all of their food, and really good prices if you compare to restaurants in town.

The staff make this hotel a great place to stay. On my second day in Cusco, I got food poisoning. I was sick during my entire stay and was not able to move around much. The staff treated me like I was their daughter as I was traveling alone. They constantly checked up on me and made sure I had food and plenty of liquids. In addition, they found me a doctor to treat me. I would recommend In Casita as the staff will take great care of you!
