We stayed in Cusco for a month back in December and ate at Hanz Cafe about 6 times! It is a cute little cafe that serves Peruvian-Japanese food and homemade craft beer from tap. The food was delicious, beer was great and the owner puts so much love and care into the whole place, you really feel like your in his home - plus he is very attentive and so friendly! We really enjoyed going back there, not just for the food, but to support his beautiful little business that had only been open for 8 months at the time we visited. He puts his all into it! In true Japanese style you get a warm towel after ordering. All the food is delicious, but below are the dishes I loved!
Must try items from the menu:
- Tequenos (fried sticks in the photo below)
- Chirimoya milkshake
- Chirimoya ice-cream
- Katsu chicken (last photo below)
- Hot chocolate
- Mini burgers (photo below)
- The crumble he does with scoops of ice-cream is insane! (photo below)
This cozy hole in the wall is a must visit if in Cusco!!
