We stayed two nights here and it seemed like the Hacienda would be great for families, couples, friends, or solo travelers. It's not a bad drive from Cuzco and is located on the outskirts of a town, but it feels like you are in the countryside. We were backpacking and on a low budget so this was a higher end hotel for us. The staff were the nicest and most accommodating people we experienced in Peru. They were flexible on dinner, breakfast, check out time, and they even accommodated our custom horse ride request. The staff coordinated our taxi's with no problem. The rooms are basic, but clean and wonderfully decorated. I'd describe this place as "basic luxury". The rooms have large shuttered windows. The sheets are fresh and the laundry service is cheap. This was my favorite place to stay in Peru by far. Breakfast and dinner were included in our rate, which is well worth it after eating in Cuzco several days. The food they serve is great! They are accommodating to picky eaters also. The dining room has a fireplace and is candlelit at night. It was a quiet place, but we could hear the church service in town in the mornings. They have a tennis court, horses, a children's tree house, washer toss game, a pool, and plenty of fresh air. You also can't beat that the profits go to the street children foundation.
