Andenes Al Cielo is a very nice hotel with beautiful views overlooking the city of Cusco. It is conveniently located close to the main plaza and just a few doors down from Jacks Cafe. What most stood out at this hotel was the staff. They were so friendly and very helpful. It had a warm and inviting atmosphere. They provide complimentary cocoa leaves for tea which was very helpful for altitude sickness. Also, they have a small library of books and and a computer for free internet use. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great hotel!

Love the location ... only two mins walk from main square and in a much quieter fun street with jewellery shops, restaurants, pharmacy, small supermarket, everything you need. Very helpful staff and manager. I stayed both before and after Inca Trail so was given two different rooms but both bright and clean (and left my luggage there while away). Lovely roof terrace overlooking the main streets of Cusco. Breakfast girls were wonderful, always smiling and happy and making sure plenty of food for guests, eggs cooked on request.

Although being part of a group travel, I felt being taken care of as an individual and esteemed guest from reception until the day we left by the entire staff. Good leadership! Appropriate rooms, clean and golden silence. Very good location, walking distance to everything worth visiting. Highly recommended.

Excellent people, hotel, breakfast and location. Close to the main square. Really nice and clean. We espcially enjoyed the balcony to have wine and watch the sunset. The people were all very pleasant...even at breakfast at 6:30 am! We were greeted with smiles and a fresh omelete and hot coffee!

A darling hotel with nice, super clean rooms and a wonderful courtyard and commons area. Free computer, laundry very reasonably priced, staff helpful. It is very affordable and located a short walk to the main plaza. The front desk will assist with any needs. We hired a taxi driver named Wilburt through the front desk to drive us on a day excursion into the sacred valley. It was 160 soles for the entire day (left at 8 am, got back around 7pm). He was a great driver with a new car that you could tell he took a lot of pride in - much different than some taxis. He didn't speak a lot of English, but that was fine as we didn't need a guide so much as someone who could navigate the excursion. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. In general, bring your own travel alarm clock for anywhere you stay. Also, the front desk people can sometimes appear to understand English when they aren't really following what you are asking, so sometimes we didn't get wake up calls that we thought were arranged just due to the language barrier. Write it down or ask for the manager. They were supposed to meet us at airport, but had not arranged anything. Fortunately my kids had arrived a few days earlier and asked if they could ride along to the airport only to find that there was no pickup scheduled. But....that is how they met Wilburt so everything worked out fine :).

Room Tip: I did hear one complaint from a traveler that the rooms facing the street (while huge) are really lo...

Andenes al Cielo had a nice sized room and a very useful shelf in the corner that made sorting my clothes, etc. a breeze. The bathroom was very modern and nicely done. The beds were comfortable and the little space heater did a great job keeping us warm at night. The courtyard is beautiful and the little sitting area (where the free internet and coca tea are housed) was very quaint. The breakfast was good-- note you have to ask for eggs, but they make them to order for you-- SWEET! The staff was so nice and accommodating.

The only cons to our stay were: poor drainage in the shower (which had awesome pressure and steaming hot water!), at times I would be standing in almost an inch of water, and because we were close to the wooden stairs it was a bit noisy at night and early in the morning (people going up to enjoy the terrace views and hanging out at night and people checking out or going up for breakfast in the morning.

All in all, this was still a nice place to stay.

I really loved this B&B. Very clean and fancy without the stuffiness that usually comes with most hidden gems like this. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was quite delicious and accommodating, we needed to leave very early one of the nights we stayed in Andenes al Cielo and the staff had breakfast ready for us at 5:15 am. I was very impressed by that! We stayed in a suite with the balcony and wood burning fireplace which was a fabulous touch to our stay! They did however forget to pick us up at the airport when we arrived to Cusco. We sent an email reminder a week prior to arrival. It was then when we were looking for a cab at the airport when I had my camera stolen right in front of me with out my noticing. I was very frustrated by that. It wouldn't have happened had we been picked up by the B&B's shuttle service.

Room Tip: Get the suite with the fireplace! You will have street noise though.
