“Great Little Hotel”

We stayed here one night at the end of our trip with Mountain Lodges of Peru. It's a very old building that's been converted. We were late arriving and were given the "presidential suite" which was a 2 story room with lounge, large whirlpool bath, and a very comfortable bed. The dining area is a courtyard with a glass rooftop installed. Lots of character. We had a good dinner & breakfast. There is street noise but we always travel with ear plugs so all was well.

My wife and I stayed at the Andean Wings Boutique Hotel for one night on July 5, 2011. We were extremely impressed with the hotel. It was a residence and changed into a hotel. You felt completely safe there inside the compound. The view out of our window was of the downtown. It was close to downtown so as to walk there. That was important to us. The room was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was included and excellent. While there, I needed oxygen and it was free in the massage room. The altitude sneaks up on you and then hits! The manager on duty is great and speaks great English and the overseers pesonally greated us in the bar. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cuzco. It is an oasis of quiet in a bustling town.

Traveled to Cusco with three other families and fell in love with the unique charm of the hotel. From the initial greeting by one of the hotel managers to the restaurant waiters, the service was great. We traveled with our kids and when they were tired and felt like staying back at the hotel, we felt comfortable and safe leaving them at the hotel. Located walking distance from everything. Most definitely should make anyone's short list of choices for hotel in Cusco.

This hotel is a renovated colonial mansion about 300 years old. The center courtyard serves as the restaurant which is covered and heated with portable patio heaters like you see regularly in the states. We had a group of fifteen and at times we felt we were the only ones there. A pleasant feel to the hotel with a warm staff and an attentive new manager, Lisa. The food was very good including the breakfast buffet and dinner options. The bar is a cozy room off to the side with a welcoming fireplace. A great place to sit after a day of adventuring around Cusco.

The hotel hallways are mostly exterior so they can be a bit chilly but the rooms were nice & warm. The shower water was hot with decent pressure. Nice towels, bedding was good but not extraordinary. You will receive one free bottle of water per person per visit although most other hotels we stayed at gave us a bottle per person a day. Since you can not drink the tap water or even use it to brush your teeth, I think a bottle a day is more appropriate and appreciated. You can buy add'l water just outside the hotel for one sole at a small market or drugstore. We stocked up each morning cause the altitude makes you thirsty! The room decor/furniture is quite nice and comfortable but not a 4-5 star feel. The walls are very thick but we could easily hear the people in the room above us.

The location of the hotel is excellent. You will feel safe and it is close to the main plazas, restaurants and shopping. We even felt comfortable leaving older children there on their own while we did shopping nearby.

I am more than comfortable recommending this hotel to friends and family. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel that had local charm, decor & style and amenities we are used to in the states. If you are considering the Andean Wings, book it.

We went to Andean Wings on a group trip to Cusco. The hotel was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were large and extremely clean! The staff was incredibly nice and we wanted for nothing the entire time we were there! My room was always clean, the food was always fantastic, and the mood around the hotel was always very happy! I will be back as often as I can make it! Every accomodation that could be made, was made!

When we booked we knew nothing about this hotel. For the price we expected something more modest. We were very surprised upon arrival. The hotel was beautifully decorated, the spaces were large and very friendly staff. We settled in a room much better than what we paid, we even had a Jacuzzi.
The bathroom and the room very spacious and comfortable. All very clean. Clean towels every day.
The hotel restuarant has nothing to envy to the best restaurant in town.
In addition. the Hottel works with one of the best travel agents in the city, and offer very good prices and quality of service is excellent.
Definitely if we return to Cuzco, we'll stay in this hotel again.

This Hotel is in a former Colonial mansion, complete with inner courtyard [now covered] which serves as the beautiful restaurant for breakfast [included with the room] and dinner. The Bar off this central courtyard boasts a glorious old fireplace and is a lovely place to sip Pisco Sours ...or just to sit. Decor is an interesting mix of modern and old-Peruvian. Hotel location couldn't be more perfect, only a few easily-walked blocks to/from the main Plaza de Armas of Cusco. What makes this hotel stand out, besides its architectural beauty and decorative charm, is the incredibly FRIENDLY staff and the attentive SERVICE that staff provides. They were helpful to us at every turn, providing assistance with taxis and drivers, tourism tips, shopping advice, etc. Internet/wireless worked fine and was free. Our room did not have window coverings on the skylights; the only reason I gave a "4" on the "sleep quality" was because we were awake every morning with the sun! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again on any future visit to Cusco.
