“Inca past visitation”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

In May we spent most of two weeks with a wonderful experience in Peru, We visited Lima, Cusco, Ollantaytambo, and Maccu Piccue (Aquas Caliente)
We provided Escaped to Peru with the number of days we wanted in each city and left the arrangements to them.
Our visit started with a slight hiccup in Lima-we were travelling with another coupld and they cancelled at the last minute-our hotel cancelled both rooms but within minutes of our arrival they provided us with an upgrade to the Presidential Suite as all other rooms were booked. Our ground agent and the hotel were magnificent. We
Our hotel was the Belmond Milaflores and it was exceptional with very professional courteous staff and excellent dining.
We travelled from there to Cusco and the Aranwa Hotel which was extremely comfortable, good staff and good food.
The next stop was the highlight of the hotel situation-the Rio Sagrado in the Sacred Valley was outstanding-our Casita was surrounded by flowers full of hummingbirds and a few wrens with a private patio looking out over a beautiful pasture leading up the sacred river and on the far side a mountain wall.
If we had known how much we would enjoy this place we would have stayed there to more days.
Again the food and staff were of the highest order
From there we went on the Hiram Bingham train to Aquas Calientes and the Maccu Piccu Pueblo hotel. A very spacious comfortable room surrounded by patio area with feeders, hummingbirds, orchids galore and wonderful vegetation. Food was very good with attentive staff.
Our next area was back un at the only disappointing hotel-the Casa Andina was a disappointment but it was only one night and no great inconvenience.
Through our trip we had guides provided that were excellent-they were all local and spoke English very well and each cities guide was very professional and knowledgable. We were looked after by the ground agent on every transfer-no waiting -always on time and eager to help. We are experienced travellers and only on one other trip in our 45 years+ of travelling were the arrangements as well looked after as this one.

“Peru”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

What a wonderful trip! Escaped to Latin America exceeded our expectations. From the time we landed in Lima, flew to Cusco, toured Macho Picchu and Lake Titicaca, and flew back to Lima, we were treated with respect and dignity. All the activities planned during our 11-day stay were just right in terms of pace and there was no chaos. The staff who picked us up from the airport, took us to our hotels, and guided our visits are well organized and knowledgeable. Our hotels were great, especially Casa Andina in Sacred Valley. Even the entertainment in the Vistadome train on the way back to Cusco was fun. It transformed what would have been a boring 3-hr train ride. This was a trip that we'll be talking about for a long time.

“Excellent service”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

We worked with Jean at Escaped to Peru while planning our trip to Peru. She was very helpful in helping us plan our itinerary giving us different ideas and price options before we settled on the final plan. What we liked best was being able to customize the trip without having to worry about coordinating everything ourselves. She answered all of our questions very promptly and ultimately put together the perfect vacation. We chose the level of accommodation we wanted and also when we wanted a private guide and when a group tour. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. We would definitely recommend this service and hope to use it again.
