1) Unfriendly staff. 2) Event not warm shower. 3) You will be told there is kitchen for guests but still is closed. 4) If you stay in dormitory, which is over reception, every early morning (7 oclock) staff wake up you because they dont care about you. 5) You will be told there is buffet for breakfast and it is up to you what you get, but it is not true. If you stay in dormitory you will get less than others who stay in private room, you will not get for example scrambled eggs. When you ask about it they will be telling you every morning 'tommorow' and you never get it. 6) They think they have one of the best hostel in Cusco and they dont have to do much, but they dont know how they are wrong!

Although the hostel is in a great location, we left this hostel feeling disappointed. The majority of the staff weren't very friendly, you weren't able to use the kitchen when you wanted (and it wasn't very well equipped) and the breakfast wasn't at all how it looks in the photos. Plus if you're staying on the ground floor, expect lots of noise early in the morning.

Yes its clean, but thats all from our point of view. The personnel is not very nice and its much to expensive for what you get. You will find the same standard for the half without problems at Cusco. The breakfast is average and over 1 hour too late ( promised was 8am but ready at 9) what is annoying if you like to join a tour. Especially when you see staff is chatting on the phone. Secondly you have to leave you key, whats not a big problem, but when you come back the door is open and you belongings laying open to everyone and no one of the personnel is there.
Its really sad to see that a well situated hostal close to town is managed in that way...

Inka Club Hostel, is a nice hostel very close to Plaza de Armas in Cuzco, so if you are looking for museums or take a look around the historic center it will be really usefull.
The hostel promises hot water and free wifi, well none of them is available at all times, sometimes you run out of hot water and most of the times wifi is out of order.
Rooms are small but comfotable ( I booked the family room 4pax), beds are warm and you have a small tv with cable conection.
Staff is almost always busy, they are not rude but they seem to have a lot of work so they aren´t too friendly either.
Search wisely and if you can call and try to book your room directly, since expedia for example shows a price almost double the current value.
Location is great and the neighborhood is safe.

Room Tip: Try to shower early, hot water always runs out by 8:30 am

This hostel offered a lot of privacy because it had a gated yard that you go trough to get to the front door. This means that the noise of the city is not blaring all night, like at some other hostels in the same area. There is free breakfast, but beware the questionable juice, which gave myself and my friend some minor digestive issues. They arranged a cheap taxi for us early in the morning, so that was good. Very near Santa Teresa, which sometimes has a neat handicrafts market outside of it. Pretty close to the plaza de armas. Reasonably affordable and nice rooms with their own bathrooms. Good place for a recovery day after an inca trek.
