“Modern stylish and fresh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 December 2011

After a full day on a bus travelling from Puno we were delighted to arrive at this lovely modern hotel which is a short walk to the Plaza de Armes and all the shops and restaurants. Staff were more than helpful and the room was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was fresh and nicely presented buffet style and the witress cooked eggs to order so they wernt the usual gluey scramble kept warm for god knows how long kind you get used to on the tourist trail. One minor criticism is the long flight of stairs from the front door to the lobby which can be a bit daunting if you are foot sore or suffering altitude sickness - however the staff were quick to carry backs up and down on request. Free internet at two computer stations and free wifi were also a bonus.

Room Tip: Rooms in the from of the hotel appear more spacious and the ones near the breakfast area could be no...

Our booking agency recommended this boutique hotel and it was lovely! Only a block from Cuzco's main square and all the best restaurants. It was clean and pretty with a fantastic roof top terrace.

Room Tip: Master suite has a jacuzzi.

My husband and I booked this hotel after seeing the comments on tripadvisor and it definitely lived up to the reviews! The hotel has modern decor and a great rooftop patio that has wonderful views of Cusco. The hotel staff were very helpful from arranging an airport pickup to restaurant suggestions in Cusco. We stayed here for two nights prior to the Inca Trail and stayed at another hotel upon our return - we both had wished we were returning to the Maytaq instead!

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor and would recommend it. We noticed there were rooms next to the breakfas...

This hotel was a real gem. They offer you a free transfer from the airport when you arrive (although they forgot this, a phone call to the hotel fixed this very quickly). We stayed in two different rooms while we were there. One faced the street and the other was towards the back of the hotel and only had a window to a hallway. As the hallway had a glass ceiling, it did not feel dingy or dark. The one facing the street was more spacious (actually quite large) then the one at the back of the hotel (a bit on the bijoux side). Bathroom was very clean and shower very hot and powerful. They don't replenish the toiletries every day, but we haven't asked for more either, so they would probably provide you with more if you ask. Rooms were warm, TV had lots of channels (international too) and free wi-fi. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of variety and quality food. The staff was great too. Very helpful, always there if you needed something. They let us print our boarding pass for our flight to Juliaca. They also allowed us a late check-out, so that we didn't need to rush and they will store your bags if you are going to Machu Picchu for a day or two. Location was very good too, just around the corner from the Plaza de Armas. The only thing is, when you arrive in Cusco, stairs are a real challenge, as you are constantly out of breath, and there is a flight of them coming from street level into reception in the first floor (hotel is located on a first floor, not ground floor). Would definitively stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street seem to be more spacious.

We returned to this hotel twice after various excursions in Peru. Without a doubt it was fantastic from beginning to end. Excellent and friendly service from all the staff and really comfortable rooms with cosy beds and bedding. Little extras like special toiletries just added to the comfort. As a family of four, we stayed in the suite with a great jacuzzi, lots of cupboard space and strong wifi.

We had to stay in another hotel in Cusco for one night as the Maytaq was full and for more money it was half as nice! This is a gem in an excellent location!

This is absolutely where you want to stay if you are looking for a great experience.

This small boutique hotel is quiet, thoughtfully designed, and beautiful. Comfortable beds and hot powerful showers.

The staff is friendly, available for help 24-7, and knows their stuff.

HIGHLY recommended.
