The hotel was wonderful, the service second to none and most important the hotel recommended me a Tour Company called Tari Tours, Angela picked me up from the airport, she helped with all my tours as well as the trip to Machu Picchu. The guides were excellent, everything was on time and very interesting. She brought the human touch to the trip coordination, now a days that almost everybody like to do everything on the internet, I recommend the Hotel and most of all her service.

Room Tip: Try to get the rooms in the second floor.

I was glad I found this hotel. Enormous-sized room which meant we have all the space we need to sort out our stuff for our Inca trail. A short walk from the main plaza (slightly uphill, which meant you need to take it slow if you still have altitude sickness), with plenty of nearby stores to buy water and snacks from. Only downside was wi-fi did not work for a few days for me (i wasn't the only one with problems) even though i try to access in the the public areas, but it did work eventually.

Room Tip: we stayed at 101 at ground floor. noise was not an issue. even with thick walls, you can access wi-fi from this room as it's just across reception. stay at ground floor as climbing up can leave you catching your breath on your first few days.

This hotel has an amazing atmosphere, it's in a beautifully restored colonial house with very nice courtyards and rooms. The service was great and included a complimentary pick-up from the airport. Breakfast buffet was great and had lots of fruit. It's only a 10 minute walk from Plaza de Armas in a narrow one-way street (which gets quite some traffic in the evening, the only downside we could find). Recommended.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly by Victor. Victor works days and a gentleman named Sergio works nights. BOTH were more than helpful, informative, and friendly. Victor recommended a restaurant that was DELICIOUS. Victor also set us up with a tour agent named Ana who seamlessly handled all that we needed for visiting Machu Picchu. I have read a comment from a hotel guest who said Ana was more expensive than other agents, but I believe you get what you pay for. Everything was planned and executed as Ana said it would be, including an excellent, entertaining private guide in Machu Picchu for the 4 of us who were traveling together. The hotel is indeed a boutique hotel. It has a cozy courtyard complete with 2-person swing. There is a small bar that opens for 4 hours a night. There is an ABUNDANT, FREE breakfast where, if you want something not on the buffet table, you can order it through the waitress. Our room was very inviting, with stone walls and interesting beams on the ceiling, a private toilet room, towel-warming rack, good shower, and a separate area with a sink and space for all our toiletries. The beds were HEAVENLY, layer upon layer of blankets for the cool/cold nights. All in all, it's one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in; perfect for our tastes. Plus we were in walking distance of the main square and all the action.

We stayed for a total of 6 nights, both prior to and after trekking on the Inca Trail. The staff were incredibly attentive to our needs - helping us print boarding passes, maps, getting up at 4 am to get us breakfast. The rooms are comfortable, quite large, the location of the property is perfect - about 10 minutes to the main square but on a quiet street.
