We stayed two nights after our trip to Machu Picchu. It's a small hotel that feels cozy and friendly. The staff are helpful. When we arrived it was pouring rain and THREE staff members brought umbrellas out to our taxi and kept us and our luggage dry. The room was cheerful and well decorated and super clean. Breakfast was quite good. Free bottles of water in the room each day. The room was a bit cold, but an electric heater warmed it nicely.
We walked a number of times from the Plaza das Armas to the hotel, only about 8 minutes. We ate all of our meals either on the street near the hotel, or around the Plaza. We had one bout of upset stomachs and went out looking for soup for dinner. Behold, the restaurant "Mr. Soup" is only 3 minutes from the hotel, towards the Plaza, and the soups were perfect!
If I return to Cusco I plan to stay at the Terra Viva Saphi!
