Intense Peru truly made our trip to Machu Pichu an incredible adventure. All of our arrangements were scheduled in a highly efficient comfortable fashion. The second we landed our guide was waiting with a sign that welcomed our family and we immediately felt comfortable that we were in good hands. On the way to the hotel, the guide gave us a run through of our itinerary while giving us a fun background of Cusco. Each hotel Intense Peru had us booked in were gorgeous, accommodating and comfortable. Every sight that we visited throughout the trip was amazing but were made more so by the guides attitude and all encompassing knowledge of the Inca culture. They were extremely responsive to any and all questions we had, knowing the answers with out hesitation. Passing by other guided tours, we felt lucky and confident with our decision to go with Intense Peru, because it felt more intimate and a much richer experience. I would advise anyone and everyone to put your trip in the hands of Intense Peru, because they will make sure you have the best experience with little stress.

Tour was perfect in length, 3 hours. Wonderful private our of Lima which included an exclusive visit to a local family home, nearly the size of a city block. We entered through an ancient, massive door that gave no clue to its inhabitants. The home has been in same family since the Spanish conquistadores, and small private tours keep this gem from going the way of all other former residences in the old city center.......becoming office space. The lovely courtyard ,artwork , beautiful antique furniture, and exquisite tile work all gave an intimate look at life in a former Spanish colony.

My wife and I recently arranged a tour through Intense Peru through Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. Everything was taken care of, including transportation while we were in Peru. The hotels were very good - we specified 4 stars for the trip. The Casa del Sol in Aguascalientes was particularly nice.

They worked with the schedule we requested, and it all worked out well. We scheduled one day each for Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. If we were to do it again, we would have stayed another day in Cusco. There was enough to see there to definitely justify it, plus it wouldn't have made the trip seem so hectic. The tour guides were very good, and while there was no guarantee on the size of the tour groups, they were small (5-7 people). So it was nice to meet people on the tour from all over the world.

One other thing we would have done is to try to catch flights a little later in the morning to get from one place to another.

A final suggestion - make sure that when one of the guides or drivers says they will pick you up at a certain time that they will really be there then. Perhaps it's just an American's obsession with punctuality, but when they say they'll pick you up at 6:00 in the morning and they don't get there until 6:45, that's an issue. That happened most of the time on our trip, but it didn't detract too much from an otherwise lovely time.

All in all Intense Peru is an excellent travel agency. At the outset I corresponded with four travel agencies for our 10 days trip to Peru. The seriousness in responding to my requests and punctuality of Patrick Ruiz (trip advisor) impressed me a lot. I was a bit anxious in paying the total sum for the reservations before a month to the agency because others wanted only 30%. But after this trip my wife and I (70 years old) were very satisfied. The transfers were on time and orderly. Mr. Persi was very kind at Cusco. Thanks to Trip Advisor for letting us to contact with these decent people in Peru.

We arrived at the airport to be quickly greeted by our guides. They gave us a quick run down of how our trip would go and took us to our hotel. Each morning they were prompt and ready to take us on our tours. On our tour of Machu Picchu the guide gave us a full tour and history of the grounds in full detail which is highly recommended as the grounds are amazing but understanding them as they stand is much more intriguing. We spent over 6 hours walking the grounds and hiking the other trails. The knowledge of our guides was the best I have experienced from any guide.

Good evening,

Thank you very much for your support in writing a review on Trip Advisor!

I am glad to hear we met your expectations. We hope to assist more travelers from the USA!

We are now offering Bolivia which is a very interesting destination to visit as it offers the Uyuni Salt Flats (the largest salt dessert worldwide), the Sun Island on Lake Titicaca, La Paz and the Moon Valley and the Tiwanaku Archeological Site.

Best regards,
