After hearing good feedback from this hostal I decided to try it out but it was quite disappointing.
I arrived there after a 25h ride and just wanted a bed but there were quite confused with availabilities, they put us in one room but we realised the bed were actually busy so went back to reception to change us to a different one : a very cramped 6-bed room, with dirty and smelly bathroom and cold water. But what really bothered me was that it was located just above the bar which was pumping extra loud music until 2am.

Booked this place after being in the other Wild Rovers before.
This hostel is well located in Cusco, withing walking distance from all the stuff you'll want and need. It is a very big hostel with a lot of rooms.
It is definitley the place to stay in Cusco in terms of meeting other people. All the other hostels were pretty dead when we were there, but it is not as good as the other Wild Rovers.
The rooms are a bit too tight and don't allow you the basic space you need. Shared showers and restrooms are great, but the private ones are not as good.
It is a noisy party hostel (but you prepare for this when you go there) and you can basically go days without leaving there (Don't do it- Cusco is awesome!).
I've heard some tips saying not to use the Travel Agency- they are more expensive than others in town.

This hostel was so cold. You must have a sleeping bag or steal a bunch of other people's blankets (which is obviously not advised if the dorm is full) the beds were very comfortable in the 16 bed dorms, but for some reason it is so dark and the lights hardly worked. The dark was great for sleeping in, but made it difficult to find your stuff. The showers were warm and had good pressure. The rover gets pretty noisy at night since the bar is popular. Great place to stay if you wanna party and at 23 soles a night of course it won't be perfect.

Also on a side note we booked the salcantay trek through the travel agent at the hostel and were unsatisfied to say the least. We ended up paying more than other people that had booked through Loki and a bunch of other places. The guide ended up being completely inappropriate with all the single girls on the trip and even ended up stumbling inside of our tent one night drunk and was dragged out by others on the trip. We told the manager of the travel agency when we got back he called the guide who obviously said nothing happened so he offered us 30 soles off our bus tickets so we wouldn't complain and hurt the companies reputation. I'm sure nothing else happened to the guide so female travelers beware.

We stayed here recently in a double room (note all rooms have bunk beds). The hostel is located fairly close to the main square (you can walk there in under 10 mins). There are good social areas with one main courtyard with a ping pong table and a bar. The bar is undergoing renovation work so a temporary bar has been set up in the garden. Unfortunately our room was located next to the bar so it was constantly noisy and felt like we were sleeping in the bar. Our bathroom was pretty tiny but had hot water which was a bonus. This hostel has something on most nights of the week, ok if you like that but it wasn't really for us.

Excellent helpful staff. Serious security. Really fun atmosphere. Great location. Free breakfast with hot tea and coffee, plus good food from an all day pay menu. My only complaint is our room was really dirty. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet paper bin wasn't emptied once during our stay, making the bathroom really smelly too. There was garbage on the floors and dust bunnies everywhere. The place is also very loud if you are a light sleeper. All in all a pretty fun place but also a really dirty place.

This hostel was great. Beware, it is a party hostel so if that is what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed. They also have a great space for meeting people with ping pong tables and computers and a BBQ with a patio. It is in a great central location and they can help you book all your activities regarding the Inka Trail. I travelled there alone and left with a handful of friends! The beds are SO comfortable as well which is convenient after a 4 day trek!

Room Tip: Ask for a room upstairs...the downstairs is close to the bar and therefore a bit noisy.

This is one of the craziest party hostels there is, really fun but u dont really sleep that much. Beds and rooms are good do. Really social and fun things going on everyday. Stayed twice and a few nights both times. Food is allright and staff mostly really friendly and fun. Cant really say anything bad about it. The bar do close in a decent time so sleeping is possible if u want to

Room Tip: As far away from the bar as possible and second floor is better
