Helpful and friendly staff, modern and clean

We found LP to be perfect for our stay in Cusco. We stayed 2 nights, were away for a night to go to Machu Picchu, then returned for a third night. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they kept our bags for us while we were away for a night. The courtyard on the main floor is attached to the dining room and is beautiful, with flowers all around. We were in 2 different rooms due to the segmented stay and both were clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Breakfast is a mix of pastries and cereal, yogurt, fruit and fruit juices, cold cuts and cheeses, and hot choices including scrambled eggs and various meats. My only complaint here was weak coffee but there is a very cute coffee shop half a block away that makes excellent espresso drinks. The dining room serves dinner as well with a menu that looks good, but we were too busy exploring the city to eat there. We recommend this hotel without reservation!

modern and international style

no doubt, beds are excellent, fridge well filled, silent and practical = you're just in front of Qorikancha the Inka temple of sun - now covered with Domunican Monastery, you are in 3 minutes on Plaza de Armas if you accept to pay 1€ (3 soles) the small local taxi. So do not hezitate if you want an international standard choose this one......

Helpful and friendly staff

We had 2 different rooms as we left cusco and then returned. The rooms do have different sizes so perhaps ask for a large one. The hotel is a mix of French Provençal and spanish in decor and is clean. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is a problem. The breakfast is adequate - a small selection of hot and the usual continental selection. The next best thing about the hotel is the shower - it is fantastic and was very welcome after some of the showers we had been having.

The hotel location is about 2 blocks from the main square (there is a Starbucks and McDonald's in the square if anyone is interested). There is a little market just right of the hotel to pick up some souvenirs. Don't buy souvenirs in aqua callientes you will get ripped off.

If you go right out of the hotel and across the road and down a bit you will find a supermarket to pick up water / snacks etc.

If you go left out of the hotel you will find a little store that will do your laundry by the kilo - certainly great when you have been travelling for a while.
All in all for a 3 star hotel it is a great hotel with great staff and location.

Room Tip: Try not to have a room overlooking atrium. We had a large noisy group who woke us at 6.00am - the next morning was much quieter :-)

First class accommodation in a perfect location

Upon arriving at the entrance on the Av. del Sol, the main street leading up to the Plaza de Armas, you can hardly see the hotel, which blends in with the surrounding shops without destroying the architectural harmony of the line of buildings. Once you enter and pass the registration desk you arrive at a charming sunlit glass-covered courtyard. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Most of them overlook the courtyard but if you yearn for a view you can ask for a room on the street side, all of which have a good view across to the gardens and building of the Dominican convent built on the foundation of the Inca sun temple. The buffet breakfast was interesting and tasty and could be consumed either in the dining area or in the courtyard. The staff were all helpful and fluent in English. The lounge adjoining the courtyard has comfortable seating and several computers with good internet access.

Room Tip: Only rooms at the street side have a view. On each floor there are a couple of small rooms for the single traveller, which presumably go for a lower rate than the standard rooms.

A very good surprise!

As another rewier wrote, "the pictures do not do this hotel justice". The location is very good, 3 blocks from Plaza de Armas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were very good and confortable. The breakfast was good and it was possible to have a good dinner at hotel´s restaurant, for a reasonable price.
