This small B and B is located a short cab ride from the center of Cusco. Despite that, it is a must stay for price but even more importantly for service. Don Mario, the owner and his welcoming family will bend over backwards to ensure that your every need is met, be it transportation to and from Cusco, the never ending supply of tea to wrapping your gifts for transport back home. We have become part of the family in just two days!

We arrived in this hotel during the 'fiestas patronales de San Jeronimo'. It was very nice to just walk up to the market place where the main festivities took place: the hotel is at 5 minutes walking from the centre and at 2 minutes from the main street, so it is well located, but I did not have any noise problems as my room was at the back. The family running the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. It was no problem to use the main room for working or for having a meeting. They were very flexible. We also could sit in the patio outside which was really nice when the sun was shining. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The lady is a great cook: we had some nice meals during lunch. There was only one concern: sometimes the water of the shower was not always hot in all the rooms, so the system could be checked and improved.

Room Tip: rooms at the back are quiet and still have a lot of light

We stayed 2 weeks in this hotel. the family who runs this hotel is very nice and concerned with his guests. rooms are clean, there are clean sheats and towels every few days. if you wish you can ask to do your laundry and there is wifi. Breakfast is simple but nice. Good idea to stay in this hotel as a starting point tot visit cusco. A taxi takes you to cusco in 20 minutes.

when you get to Cusco assumed that this charming city had no service but I felt very comfortable when checking for people and especially for the guy who answered I every day in the reception the wise guide archaeological sites and places of interest cusco good experience with someone local and not contract as many companies offer tourism in Cusco, the first day that I stay at the hotel gave me I felt bad altitude sickness, the owner quickly lent me first aid nurse told me it was in a hospital, points awarded for the hotel what is true is that this was the center of Cusco and exclusive tourist places but people and places of a city gives another look at your leisure. the town where the hotel is located is very typical to see interesting things unusual then I went up in a local bus, few tourists stay, but that allowed me to know the people and the culture of Cusco, return to the hotel and especially I would recommend it as another type of travel experience to meet nice people.

Room Tip: The rooms on the second floor are nice and quieter

Let's start with the obvious: This place is far off the beaten path of Cusco lodging options. It's a good 25-35 minutes from the historic center of Cusco (plenty of taxis are available to take you there, as is the local bus). It also has other quirks (addressed below). But the price, cleanliness, and atmosphere of the place can't be beat. It's a short walk uphill from the hotel to San Jeronimo's pleasant, non-touristy plaza. Guests can use the computer at the front desk for Internet access. Breakfast (typically coffee, fresh juice, bread and/or rice, some type of egg dish) is good. Did I mention the price is right?
The quirks: hot water is rare (and short-lived when available); rooms on the street side get loud quite early in the morning (worth asking for a room off the street--although during one stay here we got to see a long procession of musicians and women in traditional dress, which we wouldn't have gotten on the quiet side). No TV in the rooms. The very hospitable owner runs a nearby pharmacy, so she's often away (and sometimes you need to ring the doorbell repeatedly to be let inside, which can be annoying).
We've stayed here with our kids (ages 6,4, and 2), with college groups, and with friends. Best for travelers who are resourceful and easygoing, so you know if you fit that bill. (I'm not always the most easygoing or resourceful, but I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.)
