“Very Interesting”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

This interesting little museum is open from 9am-7pm and is S10 entry per person. Staff welcome you and explain the layout of the museum when you first arrive after which you walk yourself through, following the numbers. All displays are in both Spanish and English. Displays are well presented at first but get shabbier as you go along. Provides quite a comprehensive history of traditional, medicinal coca use as well as the darker side of coca in cocaine production. Once you've looked around there's also a well-stocked coca themed gift shop.

“Best coca candy!”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

This is a great little museum with a lot of information about the coca plant. You're greeted with a cup of coca tea and a piece of coca candy to enjoy while you get a short explanation of the history of coca and then roam the museum. Worth a visit.

“Nice quick stop if you're in the area”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

We only really went to this museum because the restaurant we wanted to have lunch at wasn’t open yet and they were offering free visits for the holiday (it’s normally 10 soles). It’s a neat little museum that provides a nice look at the history of coca and its cultural impact. You could probably do the museum in an hour or so if you take in each display, and I actually really enjoyed reading the mythical history of how coca became a part of Inca culture. I wouldn’t say this place is a must-see, but in the end, if you really want to visit it and you’re in the area, 10 soles really isn’t that expensive.
