You are greeted with a bouquet of flowers - then a drink of coca! Your room is huge - you get to pick out your choice of soap which is cut in front of you. You have a butler who will come in a whim to make you a pisco sour and your bathtub can be filled with flowers or your pillow scented to help whatever! Oh my........ Spoiled is the only word I have. This hotel opened in 2012 against its brother Monastoreo next door. No comparison. This is luxury at its finest. You go only in a mercedes van, drink the best, have the best. They know you by name. Enjoy!! P.S. We were in "regular room" I can only imagine the bigger rooms..............

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room! Just enjoy

I travel a lot and I have very high expectations. This hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. Every room is a suite, so by stating here you get: your own butler, free mini bar, fresh handmade soaps cut for you, drinks, free breakfast, etc.. The room was amazing! The staff helped me book my train ticket to Machu Picchu and made sure I had the best seat! Wonderful place! Worth every penny!

We spent two days with our family at this former monastery that has been converted by Belmond into a six star oasis in the centre of Cusco. The suites are exceptional from the size of the rooms to the decor to the fine linens. Every detail in the hotel has been very well thought out and executed.
The level of service from the hotel staff, who are superbly trained, ensured that our stay is one that we will always remember.
Walk outside the front door and within a very short walk we were in the very heart of Cusco.
A must visit hotel!!

Spent the weekend with my family and grand children at this carefully crafted former monastery transformed by Orient Express into a six star jewel in the heart of Cusco which will be hard to beat. We all were impressed by the great atmospere friendlyness and service, and certainly those kids came out believing having stayed "At the best hotel in the world".

I have never rated a hotel 5 stars in everything, this one deserves it...This hotel is simply amazing. It's a fantastic experience. The service is very good and it is clear that staff have been well trained. Attention to detail and personal attention and care for the client is second to none. The rooms and hotel surroundings were beautiful. The staff, from the cleaners to the butler and manager, were all friendly and caring, but professional. The added extras, surprise gifts and surroundings were perfect. The restaurant was fabulous. Some might say there is a limited choice as currently there are 2 tasting menus to choose from, a vegetarian and a meat and fish menu. Each has 5 courses. By focusing on delivering only 2 menus, the staff are able to create a truly magnificent experience for the diner. The chef came out to explain every dish to us and all ingredients were sourced locally and inspired by Peruvian cuisine and life (they were all unique and delicious). The buffet breakfast too was lovely. Calling this a buffet, I think, undersold what it really was. While a selection of cold dishes were presented, these were brought to our own table and were presented by staff and accompanied by explanations. An a la carte menu was also available and the originality of the food served made this a truly exquisite experience.

We recently had a three night stay at this property and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Upon our arrival we were whisked away to the sitting room where we were served cocoa tea and allowed to relax while our checkin in process was taken care of. We arrived a little early so our room wasn't quite ready yet (as expected). This gave us some time to enjoy an ice cold beer poolside while we waited. My wife was given a small bouquet of flowers while being taken to the pool area in order to honor the nuns that used to live in this monastery. After a long trip, this was a very nice touch. We were not sitting too long before the manage of the property came to our table to meet us and make sure everything was going okay. This was also a very nice touch and shows the personal involvement at this location. Our room/suite (they only have suites on property.......although some larger than others) was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and our tour of the suite was provided by our personal butler Daniel. It was quite obvious he takes great pride in his work. He made us a couple of Pisco Sours to enjoy and was at our beck-and-call our entire stay although we actually ended up not having to use him much as we were so busy with other activities. He was very helpful in changing around some reservations at local restaurants for us which was much appreciated. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with a great selection of various foods and there is something for everyone to enjoy. We never did have a chance to try dinner on property but did get some drinks at the bar. I feel the bar had the perfect personality for this property. It is a nice laid back area that is decorated appropriately. We enjoyed just hanging out and having our drinks. Its not a "destination" bar but then again, its not supposed to be. Its supposed to serve the patrons of the hotel and they did this superbly. Overall we enjoyed our entire stay and I don't give out 5 stars lightly. I have not stayed elsewhere in Cusco but I can't imagine anywhere else I would want to stay after my experience at Palacio Nazarenas. I could not recommend this hotel any more...........you simply must stay here when in Cusco........there is no other choice. :-)
