“Charming Boutique Hotel”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

We loved our stay at Wakapunku - rooms were clean and beautiful (the shower was amazing!!), and it was a 2 minute walk to the Plaza. The only thing I would say is that we found a similar quality hotel for at least $40 less - but if you want to spend $90/night, it's great!

We stayed in this hotel in Jan 2014 before and after visiting Machu Picchu. Was very convenient to store our main luggage here while we did the MP trip. Staff was very helpful with arranging airport / other transfers. Location is perfect on a quiet street but just a 5 minute walk to the main square.

The hotel is modern and comfortable. The rooms are very clean with good beds and bathrooms. The only fault I had was that the 2nd room we stayed had a window open on to the breakfast area - which was a little noisy if other guests were having early breakfast to catch trains / flights. The breakfast / kitchen area is always available with water and cocoa tea which is useful.

Thank you to Diane in reception and the driver Richard who helped us with bookings / transfers / general information. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Room to front of hotel has small balcony and doors that open out to it.

We recently stayed in this gem of a hotel located slap bang in the middle of Cusco. Rooms were cosy, characterful and I thought excellent value. I would stay again for sure. There are some complaints here on T.A about the size of breakfast, which I found to be ok, and in line with pretty much every other hotel I stayed at in Peru. For location, value and service I give this 5 stars.

Room Tip: We had a balcony room. Loads of space.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had two rooms, one upstairs which was lofty and interesting, and one downstairs. Our room downstairs was internal with no windows, making it a little stuffy, but other rooms we sneaked peeks at were roomier and more ventilated. All were nicely furnished and had all the things one needs. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, service was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast and the supply of cocoa leaves kept us feeling well. Good location within walking distance of restaurants, shops, the main square, and all amenities. I recommend this as a great place to explore from.

Room Tip: Top floor is lofty and has angled ceilings - really nice but not so good for tall people. Rooms with...

My wife and I stayed here for a total of 5 nights in Jan 2014.

The rooms are extremely modern and spacious.

The location is about 5 min walk from plaza de armas (city centre)

The staff are super friendly and speak English. They even went out of there way to buy boiled potatoes for my wife when she was feeling sick.
Also they were happy to hold our luggage for us while we went on a 4day trek to Macchu Picchu.

Apart from having to occasionally wait for the hot water tank to fill up to have a hot shower we have no complaints.

For the price this hotel is unbelievable. We paid about 90aud per night.

I love everything in this hotel. The furniture and bathroom are new and clean (as it has just operated for a year). Good location, good breakfast, comfortable bed and excellent value for money. Staff is also very helpful.
