Very pretty and few tourists. Well worth it if you are in the area. Entrance fee was only a few dollars. A very interesting and serene place.

This is definitely a must see! If you have time, I can recommend taking public transport - just get a cab and ask for collectivo to Tipon, it takes 30-60min to get there, depending on traffic. The site itself is just stunning - take your time to explore and enjoy!

Hardly any tourists when we visited Tipon but the site is incredible! One of our favorite Inca sites in Peru. The incredible ingenuity and engineering skills of the Incas is clearly visible here. The site is easily accessible by car and then the site requires some uphill walking to access the terraces and see the incredible water channeling and drainage features. We spent about 2 hours at the site in the early morning and thoroughly recommend adding Tipon to your itinerary when in the Cusco region.

I went for Tipon not for the ruins, but for me it was all about trying the Cue.
So i took a taxi from Cusco and he drove us until a family restaurant. So there we tryed a "fresh" cue just as the locals are used.

Our guide decided to show us Tipon only because we had a bit of extra time - granted we hustled our butts off. It was worth it! This is what the locals would call an alternative tour as it is not on all of the guide's itineraries. It is absolutely beautiful, and there is a lot to learn here. Don't miss it! Was a highlight of our trip.
