“Great food, cozy atmosphere”
Reviewed 15 November 2013 via mobile

My husband and I ate here one night after the Inca Trail, and it definitely hit the spot! We had the Andean cheese dip as an appetizer - which was huge! - and delicious. The main courses are cazuelas - hence the restaurant name - which are like a cross between a casserole or hearty stew. My husband had the spicy beef dish and I had the vegetarian dish, both were excellent: very flavorful, warm, and filling.
The owners are both very kind and gracious, we had a great time chatting with them.
If you are in Cusco - especially during the colder months - check out Inkazuela! You'll be full when you leave!

“Wonderful Blend of Food and Atmosphere”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

Inkazuela is a great combination of Latin American flavors in a laid back Peruvian atmosphere. The menu features a daily selection of Peruvian, Venezuelan, Mexican and even Cuban foods.

I had the Mexican shredded pork appetizer. It was somewhere between a soup and a chili with a great texture and wonderful but not overwhelming level spice. It was served with a wonderful crusty bread. For the main course I had the beef with spicy chilis. It was "warn" with flavor as opposed to hot but delicious just the same. It was a heartier version of the appetizer with a close to stew like consistency. It was hearty tasty and satisfying.

The hostess was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. And the kitchen was prompt and the food served hot. The service was excellent.

The restaurant is cozy with a rustic décor that is common in Cusco. The wood burning fireplace adds a romantic touch. Located on the Plazoleta Nazarenas in a second floor location just a couple of blocks behind the Plaza de Armas, it is well worth the effort to find.

It is also pretty reasonable with appetizer, two drinks, dinner for two and a shared postre coming in at about $40. Not cheap by Cusco standards but for a unique combination of food styles and great service it can't be beat.

“Delicious comfort food in a cosy, friendly environment.”
Reviewed 10 November 2013 via mobile

I loved this restaurant. Great value for money and the perfect food for a chilly evening in Cusco. The dishes are all soupy, casserole style bowls of spicy tastiness. Location is peaceful and the decor welcoming - no nasty attempts at funkiness. Highly recommend this place.

As every one else says, the stews here are great. Very flavorful, and wonderfully filling.
We had a dinner of the stews and liked it so much, we came back for a lunch of the appetizers.

“Lovely hearty stews”
Reviewed 5 November 2013

Service was great here, really friendly and they let you taste the wine before they served it. Also, they had a decent selection of the different Cusquena beers.
The spicy beef stew was fantastic! Very flavourful. The Caribbean chicken with coconut stew was good, but not as flavourful as the spicy beef. Dessert was okay. Cozy atmosphere even though there was only one other table full. Prices were good for European standards.

Wonderful option for a warming dinner.
