“Best Bed Ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2012

We stayed here four nights and had the best bed we slept in on our tour so far! The staff are excellent, the location fantastic, and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We were in 327!

The rooms were very clean. This includes the bathroom, floor, sheets, towels and furniture. I am very picky about these things. The restaurant in the hotel is very good for dinner. My family of four had four different dishes and they were all great. The location is excellent because it is close to plaza de Armas which is the main beautiful square of Cusco. The breakfast was adequate but the eggs were really runny/watery. I do not eat my eggs that way but for only six soles you can grab excellent eggs right off of Plaza de Armas. The mattresses are a little hard especially if you are bony like I am but they were good enough to sleep on. I am 23 and traveled with my parents and 20 year old brother. My brother and I slept right through any alley noise that woke up both of my parents on the Saturday night we were there. The other nights were quiet. The people were very friendly and helpful. Everyone we came across in Cusco was so nice and friendly. The heating was very nice and necessary because it gets to be in the 40s at night there in July. The same heating accommodations were not the case in the other hotels we stayed at during our trip. They offer free coca tea all the time to help with the altitude. I never had an issue with it at all. We used the safe everyday and it worked nicely. The room was fairly spacious for two people and everything seemed to be very new in the room. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone going to this wonderful country.

I'm surprised to see all of the positive revues of this hotel. The area of the hotel we were taken to was absolutely horrible. It was on the same level as reception -- the carpet in the hall was badly stained. The room number was 202. It was a basement room with the bottom of the window at or slightly below sidewalk level. It faced out onto a narrow alley, with a view of what appeared to be the corrugated metal wall of a shack (actually the building across the way was under construction). We refused to stay in the room, couldn't believe the hotel could be classified as a 4 star hotel. The room we stayed in was 302 -- same view, but at least not below street level. It has hard uncomfortable beds. Only plus was the convenient location. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Arrive early so they can't use the excuse that the hotel is fully booked, and the terrible room...

We stayed at this hotel during the July 4th holiday of 2012. I can't think of any bad things that happened. The people were very helpful in anything we needed. I would definately stay at this location again. It is within walking distance of the Plaza and a small grocery store along the way. Great place.
