This place was beautiful. The service was great and I had a great experience.

They greeted us with coco tea as they discussed the venue. They were flexible in our room change request and they even helped us with a special gift request.

*Note we are Starwood platinum members so the services we received might have been extra, however the venue is amazing and the courtyards will really make this an amazing experience.

Checkin went smoothly. Room was clean, comfy, and cozy. Cusco is a beautiful town and Palacio del Inka is located in the center of it all, yet it is quiet and peaceful.

We couldn't have asked for better service! One of the best in the world.

We were lucky enough to stay here for 4 nights over the course of our 2 week trip to Peru and we would definitely stay here again if we were back in Cusco.

The hotel is an old Inca Palace, the breakfast room in particular looks out over a beautiful courtyard. The breakfast buffet was one of the best available in all the hotels we stayed in during our trip.

The service in this hotel is first class. The staff take every opportunity to use your name and can't do enough to help you.

The hotel held our bags for us during our trip to the Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu.

One minor criticism is that the check-out time is 9am, which is a little unfriendly.

Also they make you pay for wi-fi access in your room. For a hotel of this class, charging for wi-fi comes across a cheap tactic that reminds me of the kind of things budget hotels do.

Room Tip: It is still possible to pick up the lobby wifi in room 307 :)

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing our Palacio del Inka in your visit to Cusco.
On behalf of all the staff, I want to thank you for your kind comments about the hotel, the breakfast, and specially thank you for your comment about my working team. I am proud of them. It is satisfactory to know that you will choose again our hotel if you ever came back to Cusco.
We also take note of your comment regarding our check out time, which is this way due to the popularity of the destiny; and the charge for the wifi facility, is a requirements of our company, however, we could be flexible whenever it is possible for us, we just need to be informed about it.
We will be pleased to serve you again in a very near future.
Kind Regards

Service was great
Security Great
Breakfast GREAT, but not the best
Location was amazing
Hotel itself is gorgeous
I am an SPG Platinum Member. This was a pure leisure trip with no kids.
Concierge was very nice and friendly, but will lead you to the MOST EXPENSIVE SPOTS possible, even though when you tell them you want casual, and low cost.

Room Tip: No pool, and spa costs a lot of money.

This hotel was outstanding, and has a magnificent history and spot in Cusco. It was a huge property, yet the staff somehow remembered our names and preferences from the first day of the stay. Our room was large, with a terrific closet and nice little balcony. Great bathrooms, with nice tubs and hairdryers. A simply outstanding location, in easy walking proximity to the many attractions of Cusco. The hotel-arranged transportation (including to train stations as far away as Olly) was safe, convenient and affordable. The staff helped us with last-minute picnic lunches and similar requests, and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one.

The only significant problem is that the hotel lacks air conditioning. Given that it was late fall and cool outside when we traveled, one wouldn't think this would be a problem, but our room was INCREDIBLY hot all three nights we were there. The building appears to trap heat, and we simply couldn't get it down below 74-78 degrees at night, despite having the windows wide open and a fan blowing cool air into the room. As a result, we were all sweating and restless at night, and our young daughter had an impossible time sleeping, which put a huge damper on our trip. The problem was significant enough that I don't think we would stay here again, unless it was the dead of winter or we were assured of a room in a cooler wing or building. (We were on the top, in the middle, and surrounded by heat from other rooms.) A real shame, because it was a great property, and we loved everything else about it!

Room Tip: Request a cool room!

Great location next to several tourist spots, and a five minute walk to the town square. The dining room is fabulous, and breakfast is very good- fresh squeezed juices, lots of local breads and fruits, and you can choose a table next to the courtyard and enjoy breakfast sitting on floors made by the Incas.
Had dinner one night- just pizza in the restaurant but it was excellent.
There is a great Ilaria silver store in the hotel- they pulled out trays of jewelry and wrapped the presents I had bought - so beautiful.
Room was a little warm, but the open window helped. We did not have a view, but ask for a room with a view of the square.
The entire hotel is filled with beautiful antiques and was a palace of Francisco Pizarro.....lobby is so pretty and the little seating areas are very well done throughout the hotel. If you have an issue with the altitude of Cuzco, as I did, the front desk sent oxygen to my room several times and service was immediate. Rooms are re-done but have a Spanish feel to them- large black headrests trimmed in large gold moulding. Nice bathroom and very good shower.
I would recommend this hotel because it is a museum and sanctuary......very relaxing and enjoyable stay. 5-Star.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the front with a view, but it is louder than a room facing inward.

This hotel is charming. It's centrally located, and the service was attentive and welcoming. We stayed here as part of the acclimation period before heading out to the Inca Trail, and it served its purpose. The food was expensive, but not great.
