This hotel is very nice, certainly qualifying as a 5-star hotel. The staff are amazing and helpful, they can arrange anything and when we arrived a very friendly, professional, and helpful bellman showed us our room, pointing out all the features, and retrieved our baggage from storage within minutes. The room is very clean and elegant, with the bathrooms being the highlight. I have to say, though, that the hotel charges WAY too much for in-room internet, $10 plus tax. Additionally, the breakfast is $25 PER PERSON! If you want a similar hotel for less, (and free breakfast) stay at the Casa Andina Private Collection, a block away. Also note that many rooms have doors to a public balcony (if you like your privacy, please note this).

Truly a great place to stay in a city already magnificent , the hotel has been renovated and you can see what a good job they did, but nothing would be good if you don't have good service and great staff, and this hotel has it.
The building is just an amazing piece by itself.
Although the suite we were given was nice, the bathroom seemed a bit small considering the hotel status.
Great location, right across from the Coricancha and only 3 blocks from Plaza de Armas

Room Tip: The third floor rooms looking to the inside patios are the best

Arranged a stay there for 5 families with the head office in Lima. Prices, extra cots, number and sizes of beds were all discussed in detail.

After a long day at Machu Picchu followed by a train ride, and then bus ride, we arrived at the hotel at around 8pm.

Not only did the front desk not have any confirmation of our cots/beds discussion, they made a big fuss over who was going to be sharing what bed. Why would we ask for an extra cot in a 2 bedroom suite if we were only going to have 2 people in the room?

Rather than giving our tired (and in some cases nauseous) group our rooms, they made us wait for almost an hour while they 'verified with head office'.

Additionally, their website claims that all One Bedroom suites have a second bathroom. Turns out only SOME of the One Bedroom suites have a second bathroom. As a result, we didn't actually get into our room until 10:30.

Aside from that the restaurant and location are perfect. But we had all of the same sleeping arrangements at their sister property Tambo del Inka with no issues.

They can do better.

I and my wife were excited to see Machu Picchu, one of the true wonders of the world. But I found another wonder in a very unique and ecologically friendly hotel. It showcased the special ecology of this historical site. So I and my wife got two wonders for the price of one.And a very romantic night by the chimney.

Room Tip: Must have lots of windows and a chimney

Don't get me wrong, this is a good hotel. Service was great, location good, rooms well appointed but I did not think overly spacious. I just think that you can probably get something fairly comporable for a little less money. Not having stayed at other hotels in Cusco, I don't know if any others are better, but I actually found the rooms a little noisy. If you stay, ask to get a room facing inward (on one of the courtyards). The street facing rooms are noisy.
