Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and after long hard days it was the ideal place to rest and recover ready for the next day. Lovely big rooms, very comfortable bed and oxygen pumped in to the bedrooms (you will need it) well appointed with everything you could want except a coffee/tea maker. Fresh flowers, chocolates all sorts. Lots of staff ready to look after you and the breakfast is divine, Would definitely stay there again and wait to be looked after.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 460 it was lovely

My wife and I stayed at the Palacio del Inka twice during the past two weeks, both before and after doing our seven day Mountain Lodges of Peru Salkantay trek, and enjoyed both of our stays. My key take-aways about our stay are as follows, in no particular order...

The historic center of Cusco is built on a slope. The Palacio del Inka is on the downhill side of town, across the street from the Temple of the Sun, one of the 'must see' destinations of Cusco. The advantages of being down the hill were not immediately obvious to me, but after touring around town for awhile, it is sure nice to be able to walk back to your hotel in a downhill direction at the end of the day, particularly when you first arrive at this high altitude city and are extra tired.

Being an urban hotel in a renovated, historic building, the individual rooms are not huge. They do have nice bathrooms and walk-in closets. Each of the rooms we were in had a balcony. The first had a view across the plaza, while upon our return, we had a view of the hills, above the roof. Beds were comfy.

The common areas are quite nice. The lobby is a converted courtyard, while the restaurant overlooks an interior courtyard. There are plenty of places to sit and drink tea, or utilize the free wifi in the lobby. The bar has a daily Pisco Sour class which we took advantage of and I recommend. We also had a very tasty pizza from the bar after a late night return to the hotel.

As nice as its physical attributes are, my favorite feature of the hotel was the staff. Everyone was helpful, efficient and eager to make our stay a pleasant one. We left luggage at the hotel while we were on our trek, and when we returned, by the time we made it from reception to the room, our stored luggage had already been brought up. Likewise, anything we needed, from changing dinner reservations to finding an optician from whom to get new glasses for my wife on short notice after she lost hers, the staff was always on task. Would definitely stay here again.

We were traveling with a large group with kids and couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. The ambience is rich, but not stuffy, with lots of courtyards to have a moment of quiet. The rooms are well-appointed, but small. We had two rooms on the 2nd floor that connected with a door for our family. They faced the front of the hotel across from the church, but we heard no noise from our rooms. The bathrooms were had a tub/shower and all amenities. The staff were incredibly helpful. The food definitely catered to US tastes, which was not necessarily a good thing. However, we were a large group and can understand why that could happen with a buffet. We were very happy to stay there for two days.

We had a great time at this hotel. It helps that we were upgraded to a junior suite! Loved the location and the overall ambiance. The restaurant and courtyard were stunning. Our only regret is we could not find the time to visit the spa.

This hotel is wonderful. I've done a considerable amount of travelling and this has to be by far one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. I had no idea what to expect but on arrival it was a wonderful surprise. The hotel is amazing and it really does feel like being in a Spanish Palace. The staff were great, room gorgeous and big and the breakfast was delicious. The location couldn't be better for being able to walk to so many places. My only regret was not being able to stay longer!! To anyone who decides to stay there... enjoy!!

This is a really wonderful hotel. We were greeted by Roger the concierge when we walked in, who took our bags and sat us with cups of mate tea as they worked to get us checked in. The lobby was very peaceful and calm and it was nice to relax for a minute as we realized the altitude was taking a bit hold of us. We had a lovely suite on the third floor that was very spacious and clean / quiet. The hotel itself is in a very good location right by the Coricancha, and with a very short walk to Plaza de Armas. Roger and the other concierge Carlos were very helpful - recommended some nice restaurants and made us reservations (which we loved - Chi Cha, Cipiolina, and Limo), and also hooked us up with taxis when we wanted to go to Pisaq as well as up to Sacsayhuaman. Both taxi drivers were professional and friendly. We also ate breakfast in the hotel each morning - a really nice spread with good service. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Palacio was such a great choice for Cusco touring. We could walk to so many things, including Plaza de Armas where so many things were located.
The breakfast was wonderful, and service was so friendly and helpful. Loved it.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the Courtyard instead of the street side. even though the views are fun, it is...
