A memorable hotel with classic charm and every convenience you could expect. Fantastic location near the Plaza de Armas. Gorgeous original art and restored chapel in this former monestary. Staff simply could not do enough for us, without being overbearing. Terrific breakfast buffet. Beautiful, clean, modern and uniquely designed rooms. Recommended by a Peruvian friend, and it did not disappoint. By far the most beautiful and gracious hotel we stayed in during our trip to Peru.

From the lobby to the grounds to the rooms...this hotel is unique and right in the heart of Cuzco on a small square just one block from the main square and some good restaurants.
The dining room and entertainment was great. The hotel is an old monastery and is one of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed at.

The Belmond Monasterio is in a fabulous location. The place is peaceful and serene. The entire staff treat you like royalty. The food presentation makes you think you're in a beautiful color picture, and the food is delicious.

My son and I stayed here while visiting Cusco and Macchu Picchu. We paid extra for a car to meet us at the airport and were met punctually by a very friendly driver and guide. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were handed over to one of the concierges who led us into the bar, sat us down and offered us coca tea while he took care of the check-in. All of the check-in procedure was accomplished while we sat in the comfort of the bar.

Our room consisted of two levels. The beds and bathroom were located on the entrance level, together with a window that looked out to the city and mountains. Up the stairs on the second level was a sitting room and TV, as well as a mini bar. The decor was magnificent and in keeping with the colonial nature of the building.

It is hard to describe the rest of the hotel, except to say that it is breath-taking in its beauty. Any visitor must take the time to look around, especially at the working chapel located on site.

The staff were all extremely polite, friendly and attentive. The concierge was able to help us in arranging private tours of the Cusco and the Sacred Valley, which were exceptional.

The morning breakfast in the restaurant was also very good with a nice selection of food, tea, coffee and, of course, coca tea.

The hotel is centrally located one block away from the central plaza, so you really can't get a better located hotel in Cusco, in my opinion.

One last tip. We paid extra for hotel with an oxygenated air system. It seemed to work. Except for a bit of a headache the first day, we really didn't experience much altitude sickness and weren't even breathless after a day or two. This surprised us since we went straight from sea level to Cusco. Consequently, I would advise getting a room with the system.

Beautiful hotel in the center of Cusco. Nice cloister with Cusco mountain view, particularly nice when starlit in the night. Beautiful, big rooms, some with balconies. Big bar, big dining room... Good service. Iconic tree in the middle of the patio, with nice gift shops around it.

We stayed at the Hotel Monasterio in Cusco for 3 days and 2 nights at the end of a tour of Peru that included Machu Picchu. This is an old monastery right in the central part of Cusco. The location is great, very easy to walk to shops and restaurants that are just steps away. The grounds are beautiful with modernized original features, beautifully landscaped and clean. The rooms are huge with beds the likes of which I have never seen. The beds are huge and very comfortable. The restaurant is full service and you can eat indoors or outside in one of the court yards. The staff is very friendly and helpful making sure your stay is very good. All the rooms come with flat panel TVs with cable so you get international news and programing as well as WIFI.

Beautiful hotel, great service, and lovely colonial architecture. The breakfast here is to die for, extremely fresh, and homemade. The service is a breath of fresh air, and your every need is catered. Turn down service is offered every evening- something not usually found in smaller areas. The hotel has a nice little chapel on site, and a great courtyard where you can have a coffee or sip on one of their delicious Pisco Sours.

The towels and the bed linens are very plush and from a very famous linen store in Peru called Plumas (I highly recommend taking a stroll down to the store if you go to Lima).
