I and seven friends enjoyed staying at this unique hostel. The rooms were clean and bright, common areas welcoming and the staff friendly and helpful. It became our home away from home.

Room Tip: The rooms on the second floor may be a bit quieter, otherwise the ones we had access to were all uni...

We stayed here for three nights (two before and one after our Inca Trail trek) and absolutely loved it! Obviously it's not a luxury hotel, but it is charming, clean, relaxing, and best of all, very cheap for what we got. The food was delicious too--breakfast generally cost between $3-5 for bread, preserves, eggs, juice, etc. Their tres leches cake was awesome as well!

The hotel is close to the Plaza de Armas (about a 5-10 minute walk) and most people we talked to knew the place by name. Highly recommended.

I traveled through Peru with my sister and her family (including 11 + 13 year old boys) and we were at the Ninos Hotel on three separate occasions. If you're looking for a clean modestly priced place with some local color thrown in this might be for you. The rooms are simple and basic as are the bathrooms but perfectly fine and reasonably comfortable.
The central internal courtyard is great to hang out in and also to have breakfast or lunch - it reeks of Spanish/Peruvian colonial charm and is soothing and relaxing.
The staff are all friendly and kind and as accomodating as they can be . My only word of caution to you would be that the front desk seems not really able to provide much in the way of advice/recomendations for tours, restaurants, and the typical tourist stuff you may need. So, bring a good guide book and have an independent attitude and you'll be just fine at the Ninos. And remember , the hotel profits support a very worthy local charity !

Loved staying at Hotel Ninos in Cuzco! Very peaceful with a nice quiet courtyard with fountain. About 5 minutes walk to all the activity on the main square. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with lovely bread, butter and jam, eggs, yogurt etc. Great coffee and fruit juice too.

We were pleased with our stay at Ninos Hotel. It is a few blocks walk to the main square. The hotel is well maintained and well decorated. However, it is small and the building is a bit old. We stayed in two different rooms, before and after we hiked the Inca Trail. The first room was on the ground floor. If you're a light sleeper, be prepared to hear people coming in from a night out. Our second room was on the second floor. The front door noise was much quieter. In spite of the noise, I would recommend this hotel. The food is wonderful (very fresh), and the staff is very helpful. They kept our bags while we hiked the trail. They called taxis, and gave us recommendations. This hotel also supports a great cause. I felt proud to stay here after seeing the many children on the streets in the city. Overall, a good place to say.

Room Tip: I heard some people complain about street noise from the one or two rooms that faced the street. But...

There were five of us traveling for a week in April 2011.

Ninos is a two star hotel. Both the facility and staff exceeded quality expectations for a two star.

We had two rooms, Oscar for the adults, and Piotr for the three kids. Both rooms had private bath and were well sized. Piotr was a huge room for thee kids.

The rooms were clean and had comfortable beds. linens and towels were clean and changed as needed. Soap was supplied, and there was always hot water and internet.

The courtyard and restaurant were major plus's. There were tables and chairs to sit in the sun or have tea, and the restaurant offered high quality meals at a great price. The service was friendly albeit paced. We had both breakfast and dinner in the restaraunt sitting by the fire and loved it.

All in all, the hotel was well managed and was enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend this hotel for leisure / adventure travel but it might not be appropriate for business travel where more services and a faster pace may be required.

The Ninos delivers on its promise.

My parents, my daughter and I stayed here for a few days near the end of August. We loved everything about it. The rooms were clean and warm at night thanks to the heaters and many blankets. The wifi was perfect and reliable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and filling and wonderful to dine next to the fireplace. The breakfast was awesome. My daughter loved the banana panqueques. I loved the cafe con leche. Supper was nice too. Just like a previous review, I enjoyed the pumpkin soup and the hot chocolate too. The courtyard is enchanting. The cause is perfect.
To top it off, we were helped beyond measure when mine and my daughter's passports were nicked at San Pedro's market. Thankfully, the hotel had made a copy of all our passports and migration forms so that helped immensely in getting us out of Cusco and onto Lima for our replacement passports. Thanks a million to the angel at the hotel desk who helped us so much!!! :)

Room Tip: we stayed in Elizabeth, my parents were in Laura, both were great!
