I ended up staying in Inca Wasi, when another hostel let me down and initially I couldn't believe my luck the location was just perfect. The hostel itself was mostly clean and fairly homey. The room would have been pretty tight if it had been more than just me in there and I found the lack of a window a bit disorienting.
The bed was comfy and the blankets warm, but the room was always colder than it was outside and the hot water is only switched on at certain hours (so check that one out). The staff speak little English, but were really friendly and accommodating and willing to indulge in my attempts at Spanglish and wild gesticulations!
I liked the place despite the set up being a little weird and returned after a week in the sacred valley. I get the impression there are some long term boarders - a band of young men in their early 20's who got in late each night and played music until well after 2am.
All in it was a cheap (for the location), comfy place in a great spot that offers nothing more than a place to lay your head with an endless supply of coca tea!
