Admin people are rude, they take advantage of you money-wise, they won't respect your preferences (and even lose your reservation) and will ignore you if you have any complain. There are so many nice people in Cusco, there is no reason you stay with them.

Hostel quality is decent (clean rooms and infra).

One of the top hostels I stayed in throughout my travels. The perfect hostel for a stay in Cusco.

Kokopelli is set in a great location, 2 minutes from Plaza de Armas and just under 10 minutes away from local markets. It is also conveniently located near transport terminals to get around all over the city or just outside.

The hostel has very good facilities. There is wi-fi coverage over the entire hostel and computers available to use if needed. The dorm beds are super comfy and have the nicest down duvets that keep you warm during those chilly Cusco nights. There are also free herbal teas to keep you toasty and to also help with the altitude. The hostel is very very clean and has the nicest HOT showers. There is also a tour desk that offer a variety of tours and trips for travelers.

During the day the hostel is chilled, mellow and has a great atmosphere. You sometimes forget that the street is a hive of activity beyond the door. In the evening the bar is a great place to hang out. There is a different event in the bar almost every night, from Karaoke night to Beer Pong to Electronic sessions to Latin Nights, there is something for everyone. The bar manager and bar staff were awesome and always fun.

There are simply no words to describe how incredible the staff are. They are the best. Very warm, friendly, helpful and are wonderful people in general. The manager of the hostel is very involved and is doing an amazing job running Kokopelli. If you ever had a question or just wanted to know something you could always ask the staff and they would do their best to help. As well as being fantastic empolyees they also became good friends.

I have nothing but love for this hostel and hope to return to this wonderful establishment at some point in the future.

Room Tip: Dorm 105 is perfect for some privacy and a treat to yourself. Private pods, wi-fi, and ensuite bathr...

It is clean and spacious.
But it is very noisey.

The bar is opened till 2am even there are only few people there.

The breakfast is nice especially the scramble egg.

The attached travel agency is excellent. Detail and clear informations. The price is reasonable

As far as hostels go, the Kokopelli in Cusco 'Peru', was for me the right balance. On my travels I have stayed in many different hostels, some just dont tick the right boxes, some having a great location, great rooms etc but no atmosphere.
The Kokopelli for me was welcoming on arrival, with the offer of natural Teas made from coco leafs (which can help with altitude sickness) and various other natural plants. I never knew or wasnt warned about the high altitude which Cusco sits at (Approx 10,000ft above sea level). Be aware, you may feel dizzy, sick and have a head ache for a few days whilst you adjust, This become a bit of a surprise to me. Tablets from the local Pharmacy
can be purchased which will help, but aparently wont if you are drinking alcohole.
The staff were all very helpful and soon become friends as well as professional hostel employees.
The rooms were all clean , tidy and the single beds seem to be bigger the just a single.
Wi fi could be found all over the hostel, but computers are availible if required.
Breakfast was basic but enough to keep you going with scambled eggs, bread rolld and jam, Tea or Cofffee.
Entertainment is provided each night in the bar from local DJs to well known DJs, live bands and even live comedy acts, In Spanish but still funny !
Drinking and team games are also an option for those who want to let their hair down.
Pool table provided in the bar also, which is a good way to meet fellow backpackers.
This hostel provides a travel agent, so all trip and excursions are also availible, from local trips to Machu picchu to International and Domestic flights.
Kokopelli also provides various other hostels which are of the same standard and great social atmosphere in Lima and other locations in South America.
The one thing I can say with this hostel, if you want to relax away from the music and the bar you have areas and choices to chill, relax. Try the BBQ which is worth paying the money for as all meats, salads and a beer are provided at such a small cost. You will enjoy!

Great hostel
Good location
We stayed in one of the private rooms located in the garden. The room was very clean, modern, and nice, with hot water.
A bit noisy at night or in the morning because people stay and hang out in the garden so take your ear plugs!

The place is really nice and confortable, big dorms, a big open area but the staff is so bad, their favorite word is "No sé" or "I don't know" even for common informations like "At what time are the bus leaving from the city terminal?". I used to work in hotels before and the least you can do is always having available a schedule for bus and transportation around your spot... We also used the laundry service, gave our clothes at 8pm and got them back at midnight the day after, 28 hours is not what i call an efficient laundry service! I have backpacked for a long time and I know that hostels are not five stars service place, but the staff at Kokopelli could definitely do a little more...

Great atmosphere, stayed here in february and meet a lot of nice people.
Loves the art on the walls, and the comforters are warm and of good quality (not something you're used to and well needed during cold nights).
Great staff and during my travels in Peru I stayed here everytime I got back to Cusco.

The breakfast is basic and not so fancy but high standard compared to other hostels in Peru.
