My wife and I visited Peru for our anniversary in April 2014 and booked our private Sacred Valley Tour and Cusco City Tour with Inka's Destination. Rodrigo was our tour guide and he was punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. We marveled at the architecture while Rodrigo bought the history of Cusco, Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Tambomachay, Pukapukara, Q'enqo and Sacsayhuaman to life. If you are visiting Cusco, do not miss these amazing sites with Inka's Destination!

We booked the 4D/3N Junlgle Inka tour through Inka destionations located at our hostel.
The information given to us was very detailed. Luis was very helpfull and showed me pictures of the bikes, in order to reasure me concerning the good state of the bikes. They booked for us (optional) for the 2nd and 3th night a different hotel in order to have a private room. We where very happy about the last hotel, which was really very confortable.
The biking on the first day was great. We had a lot of fun and we confirm the bikes (front ysuspension) are in a good state. We had also full equipment to protect our body.
The second day, was the most difficult day, as we are not very fast walkers, but we managed to go on well. We crossed beautiful sights. The hot springs afterwards were very appreciated. They are very nice and clean. As the group decided not to walk afterwards and to take a bus to our final destination, we were able to stay a lot longer in the hot springs.
The third day, was the less interesting day. We did not do the ziplining and therefore had the walking of 3 hours in the morning (flat road) to join the rest of the group. In the afternoon we hiked a few hours with the group, along the railway to reach Agua Calliente.
The 4th day was exhausting. We woke up at 4am in order to walk to the Macchu Picchu. There we had a guided tour. After the tour, free time. In the evening train back to Cusco.

The negatives points :
We had bad luck with our guide (Broly) Although we think he could have been a good guide, for a reason we ignore, he was doing his job on a part time basis. He has several times abandoned the group ( leaving us with other people/guides) We have complained about his attitude at Inka destinations, who have treatened our complaint very seriously. We trust this will never happen again.
The late train 21.30 to return to Cusco. If we had to do it again, we would arrange to have the train at 18.45 even if we had to postpone our tour. Or staying 1 more night in Agua Calliente. The last day was really exhausting.

Overall, the tour has been satisfactory.
The relationship with agency very good.

We booked a 2 day/1 night Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu tour after we got sick and had to cancel our 4 day Inca Trail hike.

We booked it through tour guide Luis, who was great, he came to our apartment in Cusco and explained the itinerary thoroughly, came to collect us on the morning of the tour and took us to the waiting bus, where we joined another tour group (unfortunately I now can't remember the name of the company!)

The tour first took us out of the valley of Cusco on a scenic drive over the top of a high pass, where we stopped at a small village market, then on to the Inca ruins above Pisac. These were spectacular, and the guide Beto was very informative. Unfortunately we didn't really have enough time there to explore the site fully.

Next we went on to another market in the town of Pisac, which felt like a waste of 30 minutes, as the stalls were selling exactly the same things as the previous market, and indeed as every other shop in Cusco. The guide even told us to be careful what we bought, as half of it would probably be cheap Chinese acrylic fakes.

From there we went to our lunch stop in Urubamba. Our lunch wasn't included, but we found a fairly average place to get chicken soup and fried chicken. One downside was that a lot of the people on the tour had booked through different companies, so had different lunch arrangements, which meant wasting even more time driving all over Urubamba to pick them all up.

Consequently, we only had about half of the recommended time at our next destination to see the Inca ruins at Ollantaytambo before we had to walk to the train station for our train to Aguas Calientes. The ruins at Ollantaytambo are also amazing, perched on the side of a hill overlooking the town. It was a shame that we were so rushed, and wasted yet more time waiting for stragglers in the tour group. We ended up rushing around the ruins ourselves to see at least some of it and grab some photos, but could easily have spent a few more hours wandering around.

The Inca Rail train to Aguas Calientes was a fun journey, if a bit basic. The scenery was spectacular, but the ride was pretty bumpy and the train was packed full of people.
Aguas Calientes itself is nothing special, but the acommodation, at Hostal Inti Quilla, was better than we expected. Clean room, good hot shower, no problem with providing a 5am breakfast.

Finally, the thing which we came for - Machu Picchu :
We managed to make it through the gates at 6:05am to watch the sun rise, and had an hour or so to walk around the still mostly empty ruins until our scheduled tour began. The guide, Eddie (not sure which tour company he worked for) was great, and took us around almost the whole site for about 2.5 hours. He was full of information and humour, taking group photos for us a few times.
After the tour finished, we spent the next few hours wandering around getting lost in the ruins, before catching the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. We collected our bags from the hostel with no problems, and boarded the return Inca Rail train to Ollantaytambo, where our private taxi shuttle was waiting to drive us back to Cusco. The drive back was spectacular, crossing a high pass through Chinchero, which I would have loved to have time to explore. We could see snow capped mountains all around. The taxi dropped us right back to our apartment door.

Luis and Inka's Destination were great, putting together all we needed for a solid 2 day tour. The only negatives were the not great scheduling on the first day by the other tour company, that resulted in us not spending enough time at the ruins, and wasting time at tacky markets and an overlong lunch stop.

When we arrived to Cusco, we wanted to get all the information we needed for visiting nearby atractions. I was searching for good place to get it and I found Inka's destination office, where tour guide Luis explained us everything and provided us very good experience when visiting Machu Picchu - he was like an open "Machu Picchu book". After 3 days Inka's destinaton trekking we took also Mountain Biking with them. The scenery was fantastic, the bike equipment was in very good condition. It was great! Next time I come to Cusco, I would like to do Paragliding with Inka's Destination,

I went on a tour with Inkas Destination to Machu Picchu.

Me and my friend specifically got a private tour with Miguel at Inkas destination after we had some friendly banter with him.

Payment was taken efficiently and in a professional manner with us being provided with clear instructions for pick up time etc.

We were picked up in a private car by Miguel and his driver. His English was perfect and being from the area and having studied history at university he was extremely knowledgable and you could tell he was very passionate about his job. He also knew the best spots to take some incredible pictures!

What set this tour apart from others I have been on in South america, Asia and Africa? Well it was the tour guide Miguel, it was as if we had another friend on the trip with us and by the end of the day I had made a new friend.

Definitely give Inkas Destination a go for that personal touch!
