“Perfect stay in Cusco”
Reviewed 20 November 2012

Spent just a weekend in Cusco with a small tour group. Excellent hotel in the city center and walking distance to anything you can think of. Cusco is such a special place, I wished I could have stayed longer. next time I am in Cusco I will chose the same hotel and explore the beauty of everything the city has to offer.

We were a group of 22 and the staff at Casa Andina Classic were the best of all our 11 or 12 hotels during our tour. We stay here twice and received the same friendly efficient service both times. They organised laundry outside hotel hours and raced to a money exchange when they didn't have the cash to exchange. They also gave us the rate of the money changer not the hotel rate. Some of our group suffered altitude sickness and the staff were there with the oxygen upon request. Our room over looked the street with church bells and beautiful architecture. We could walk to the Plaza de Armes and we enjoyed every aspect of this central friendly hotel.

Room Tip: Great place to stay

This hotel is truly wonderful. It is, as other travelers have stated, simple, but it has everything you could possibly ask for. The staff is bilingual and very attentive. They went out of their way to check us in early and provide us with information about the surrounding areas. The rooms are simple, but extremely clean. They have extra blankets for the chilly mountain evenings and plug in heaters to keep you toasty. The breakfast in the morning is more than adequate. You'll find an assortment of breads, yogurts, fruit, coffee and teas, some cold cuts, Andean cheese and quinoa pancakes. The breakfast area opens at 5am, so if you have a tour to Machu Picchu, you have plenty of time to grab a bite to eat before starting your journey. The only thing that may bother guests is the noise of the traffic. It isn't terrible, but if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this may bug you. You'll want to make sure and request a room that doesn't look out over the street. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an authentic experience in Cusco. If you prefer a lot of amenities and luxury, this is not the place for you. However, this place is perfect for someone looking for value, great location, and friendly staff.

Casa Andina Plaza is very clean, has oh so comfortable beds, breakfast is good, the location couldn´t be better and the staff are amazing, they are so helpful and can´t do enough to help you. ground floor rooms are warm so we opted for the upper floors when we returned there. they have free internet and you can print out and the laundry service is also very good. We had such a lovely time there it felt like being at home

Room Tip: all rooms we stayed in were quiet it was a bit warm for us on the ground floor, restaurant for break...

Stayed here for 2night after MP. The room was clean and the service was good, but my wife and I just felt that this hotel was bare bones. Pros: good location, service Cons: Small room, small bathroom, can be loud(thin walls)

I recently spend 4 nights at the Casa Andina Plaza. The location is great, the breakfast very good, the staff (especially Richard) excellant. It's a block from the historic plaza. Looks of good restaurants within 3 blocks (one right next door). Our room on the third floor had a great view of the cathedral towers. The rooms are small but very clean. Our extra luggage was securely stored for a week while we hiked the Salkantay route to Machu Picchu.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. Third floor probably has best.

This hotel is only 1 block from the Plaza del Armas and right across from the convent. Very clean and comfortable but the building itself is very old and the walls are rather thin. Try to avoid the 4th floor as this is where the breakfast buffet is set up and other guests will wake you up early in the morning. The staff is awesome, very friendly and helpful with anything you request.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the 4th floor. There are only 2 rooms on this floor and they are right across from the...
