“Great service, nice and simple”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014

We stayed here on a family holiday with two families with two kids each in tow. The hotel has a great location in Cuzco, and is very comfortable. We liked it because it had a more local flavour to it than some of the big hotel brands. The service was excellent, and the rooms were always clean. The only drawback is that it attracts big holiday groups who some mornings strip the breakfast buffet bare. It doesn't have much in international TV stations, and the wifi is a bit underpowered, but it is free. We would definitely choose it again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the square, and it will be very quiet.

Stayed for 3 nights before doing the a inca Trail and 1 night afterwards. The best thing about the hotel is the location, right behind the plaza des Armes. Despite the centrality, the hotel didn't suffer from outside noise in our experience. The view from the restaurant over the red rooftops to the cathedral and beautiful church was stunning. Breakfast was good with a decent selection. The rooms were clean and on our fourth night we had a really large suite type room although we only booked and paid for a standard double. We we're able to leave some luggage for the 3 nights we were doing the inca trail and it was stored securely. We enjoyed the free coca tea available in the lobby. The staff were friendly and polite, although our check in took a very long time!

Spent 2 nights here before the inca trail. Had a large double room all to myself. Beds are comfy and very warm. Location is great- smack bang in the centre of cusco behind the main square and very safe to return to at night.

Breakfast was good- a selection of fresh fruit, cereals, eggs, breads, cheese, ham, mini pancakes, juice, yogurt and teas and coffees. They also had soya milk available, so they get bonus points for that in my book, as I'm a recent convert! Great views of the cathedral too to enjoy over breakfast.

They stored my luggage while I was on the trek, even though I wasn't returning to their hotel for my last night, which was brilliant and saved a lot of hassle trying to drop luggage at another hotel before leaving for my trek at 5am.

Free unlimited coca tea in the lobby too.

All in, I'd stay here again, particularly as when I booked I got a 30% discount off the rack rate. however I wouldn't pay their full rates as there's better value to be had around cusco for less.

We stayed twice in March. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The cathedral and other sights were within easy walking distance. The hotel was across the street from excellent restaurants -- especially Tupanachis. Breakfast was nice and served in a pleasant room with a view of antique tile rooftops. But by far the best thing about the hotel was the staff. Alejandro and everyone else at the front desk went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Room Tip: Getting a balcony was nice for the night-time "people watching".

Casa Andina hotels are great value and quality hotels. The staff is great! This particular hotel was very convenient to all of the sites. I even had a problem as I was leaving, my camera accidently fell out of my bag at the hotel. The staff found it and sent it in a taxi to the airport. Very nice!

A block from the main square, nothing overly fancy but comfortable and nice hotel with a bit more local flavour than other chains. Stand out factor was the service: they had no availability for the second night, so they voted us into the nearby Casa Andina Cusco Cathedral and even tried to carry our bags for us!

Comfortable room. Friendly, professional staff. Nothing fancy but very functional. Great location right around the corner from the main plaza. Beds have crisp white linens. Bathroom is average but clean. Water for sale in the lobby very inexpensive. Good stay.
