This is a secure hostel 20 minute walk uphill from centre, perfect for acclimatising to walking uphil at high altitude.

Our room was small but clean with nice external undercover seating area. Bed was good size with sheets and blankets, but the room was cold at night.

Hot shower and hot drinks available in communal area throughout the day. Breakfast of ham cheese bread and jam, excellent coffee.

Lady on reception lovely very good english. Second day we had choice of eggs for breakfast. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, hostel accepts early arrivals which can wake you as the room overlook the courtyard area which echos, you can also hear everyones alarms going off.

Excelent in so many ways!
To feel at home, the people are warm and welcoming, very nice! They pick you up from the airport and are very friendly!
It shows they also have a lot of experience with travelers and tourists of all kinds. If there is any tour you are interested in (including different Inka Trails), there is no need of contacting an extra tourism agency: these guys will arrange everything for you!
As for the service: the breakfast is included, as well as the trasnportation from the airport at the arrival to Cusco. They have a delivery service to ask for food and beverages. The rooms are clean and tidy always, but not very spaceful. Also each room has an own bathroom, also not very spaceful.
The location is great, only 3 blocs from the Main Square which is the heart of the tourism and activities in Cusco. Lots of Cafés, restaurants, bars, pubs, supermarkets.....everything is nearby.
Definitely staying again here if I ever get to go back to Cusco!

Room Tip: Better to ask for something not to near to the streets, which are loud 24-7

The staff welcomed us always with a smile and were very helpful. The breakfast included bread, jam, chees, ham and eggs with juice and coffe/tea. The Hostel itself was very cute but the showers are soooo cold, because of the window.
They have a big variety of Tours which are good but need more improvement.

Thank you for everything :)

Cusi Wasi is a nice place to base yourself in Cusco while acclimatising. Rooms are set around a covered courtyard. Staff are reasonably/somewhat helpful. The location requires a bit of a walk (4/5 small blocks) to the central square. Search around for the best offer as we found a few different rates for the same room. Advertised on the website is free airport transfer. However, on our return visit after a trip this was not available and a hyped up price was charged, which left a bit of bad taste after at the end if a nice stat.

I can recommend this hostel (visited 02/2014). Helpful staff, great tour options and excellent service handling the tours. No heating was a little strange at first but the bed was good and there were enough sheets and blankets, at the end that, no heating, did not mean a thing. Location was great, short walk from plaza de Armas. In breakfast there could have been a little more to eat but that what was for breakfast was good.

I highly recommend this hostel in Cusco. The staff are warm and welcoming, they offer excellent tours in the city and to Machu Picchu, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. The location is a bit far from Plaza de Armas, but only about a 15-min walk away -- at the end of the day, it's nice to get away from the fray and retreat to Cusi Wasi. And an added bonus is the beautiful courtyard garden and many Incan relics and decor. Lovely!
