I couldn't help but to like this place. The main reception/breakfast/meeting area has charm, being a covered courtyard. However, some rooms are great, and others are not. Particularly be aware of the ground floor rooms which can be noisy and have no windows. Lovely staff though and reasonable location.

We stayed hear the last of our trip and we were so pleased with this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms were very spacious with very comfortable beds. We ate in the hotel dining room and found the food was wonderful. The breakfast in the morning was incredible with all the homemade breads, fresh squeezed juices and the omlet man. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was a wonderful ending to a great trip.

This was perhaps the best hotel we stayed at in our visit to Peru. Cusco has great selection of hotels and this, being a 3 star (I think) one has everything you need. When we arrived they made us sit, offered us coca leaves tea for the altitude (11,100 ft), provided advise for dealing with it and made us feel very welcome. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and polite. The interior court is very nice, the room was comfortable and looked very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was included and had good variety. If I was going to mention a couple of minor points, these would be few electrical outlets and being a little far from the center area, about 10 minute walk to the main square. All in all, I would return to this place and recommend it without hesitation.

Terra Andina Hotel is a three-star hotel located about 5 or so blocks (10 min) away from Plaza de Arms in Cusco. The hotel is on a small side street in the historic district, nearby to a grocery store and a large covered market where local foods and goods are sold.

Rooms: The rooms were spacious enough for two people with light luggage. A small wardrobe was present to hang clothes or unpack, but this would probably only be enough space for one person. The beds were decent, though one of the beds in the room had been significantly used and sagged on one side. The rooms do not have air conditioning or dehumidifiers. The temperature was not too bad but may be a little warm for some during the warm months. The rooms were humid but the cooler weather outside mitigated the humidity a bit. Bathrooms are on the small side but do come with some amenities. We had a little trouble getting warm water for a shower in the morning, so it may be worthwhile to take one in the evening. Additionally, while there was a safe in the room, it was light and not bolted down. We felt more comfortable carrying valuables instead of leaving them in the safe. Ask for an interior room to avoid street noise.

Staff: The staff were wonderful at Terra Andina. They helped us arrange transport from the airport (send them flight details and someone will meet you at baggage claim), transport to Ollantaytambo, and upon our return from Cusco a day later, even had checked us back in and transported our bags that we had stored to our new room. We really appreciated that the staff was willing to hold bags and after an exhausting day hiking, it was a nice surprise to see everything already set up for us. While we spoke Spanish, the staff are bilingual and can speak English well.

There is a free breakfast in the morning, set in the main courtyard, which was good and included eggs, bacon, omelets, varieties of fruit, and many types of bread. Coca leaves and tea were also located here and helped with the altitude upon our arrival.

Overall, we were pleased with the Terra Andina Hotel, especially at the very reasonable rate that included hotel transfer and breakfast. Other hotels in the area are nicer, though significantly more expensive. If you are looking for a hotel to spend the night before/after Macchu Picchu, Terra Andina is a good bet. However, if you are looking to base yourself in Cusco for a few days, it may be worthwhile to have a hotel nearer the main square and with more space to relax in and around the property.

Room Tip: Ask for an interior room to minimize street noise. Horn noise and trash collection can easily be hea...

We stayed at Terra Andina for 4 nights, before and after our visit to Machu Picchu. The staff are very attentive to our need, the rooms were spacious, especially the bathrooms, the bed were incredibly comfortable. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. We had a problem getting hot water consistently one morning, but it was quickly resolved. The hotel is within walking distance of Piazza De Armas and many other interesting streets, churches and San Pedro Market.WiFi was working with no problem. We certainly would recommend this hotel.

The staff at Terra Andina was very helpful in planning day trips and finding all we needed in Cusco. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The coca tea in the lobby was a great help with the altitude sickness. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, within the historic centre of Cuzco and in walking distance to all important churches and places. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The highlight however is the very friendly and helpful staff with excellent knowledge of English. And all this at a rate which is very competitive and gives you excellent value for your money. I look foreward to come back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are quieter.
