We recently stayed at the Casa San Blas during our honeymoon. We were at the hotel for 3 nights in total, two prior to a visit to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu and one on returning. We were impressed with the hotel room we were allocated for our three nights. Situated at the top of the hotel we had a magnificent view across Cusco to the mountains beyond. I can see why rooms lower down in the hotel may suffer from a restricted view but we couldn't complain on that count. The room was reasonably sized, spotlessly clean and well served with minibar / fridge, flat screen tv with good choice of cable / satellite channels and a separate dining table and chairs on a raised area by the window. There were some nice little touches like hot water bottles placed in the bed as part of the turndown service which we appreciated (it can get quite nippy at night).

The hotel was situated a comfortable 10 min walk from the main square and was close by to a number of local pubs and restaurants. Arriving at the hotel by minibus was a bit frantic as there isn't anywhere large enough for a minibus to stop other than the road outside the hotel so unloading the suitcases is a necessarily speedy affair.

There is coca leaf tea and coffee available in the reception as well as free internet access. Purportedly there is WiFi access in the rooms but I was unable to connect from our room due to a very weak signal.

We would have liked to have tried the (very small) thai restaurant in the hotel but it didn't appear to be open for dinner on any of the evening we were there. The breakfast buffet is simple and the choice isn't massive but what was there was fine.

The staff were friendly, effecient and welcoming and there were no issues in us leaving the majority of our belongings with them for safekeeping whilst we took our trip.

All in all a great place to stay although this may depend on which room you book.

Stayed here in upstairs "apartment" - Loft bedroom and lower room - great views w/ kitchenettes! Close to Jack's, Cicciolinos and Los Perros restaurants which are good. They offer tours and other services at fair rates. You can travel more cheaply if you stay in hostels say for $15 or $20 per night, but this is very comfortable, centrally located, and our upstairs rooms were like a nice hotel in the states. Lots of helpful staff can get you a driver or whatever you need - we went rafting and riding and to Machu Picchu. Stored our bags for us for a night also. Free computers and tea, coffee, in lobby. Really nice people!

I stayed at Casa San Blas with my mom and my sister. We had an amazing time and the views and the service were terrific. Bed linens were absolutely lovely and felt great after a 5 day trek to Machu Picchu. They were kind enough to safely store our bags while we were treking and there is also free internet and wifi in the lobby.

Beward of early checkout time-- 8:30am! Our flight did not leave until 5pm and we tossed out for our remaining hours in Cuzco rather than relaxing on our final day.

Having seen a picture of one of the upstairs suites on this site, maybe most of the people who rated the hotel 4 or 5 stars had one of those. Our room was on the first floor right near the lobby with the only window facing inside. Fortunately it is winter in Aug, so we didn't need to open the window. Room was very small and breakfast suffered in comparison to others in Peru.

On the plus side, location is excellent and staff is pleasant (tho one forgot to dial wake-up call). Chocolates and hot water bottle in bed appreciated

All in all, adequate, but I expected more from reviews on this site

Stayed for 2 nights. Staff friendly and helpful. Our stay included breakfast which was an all too typical mediocre buffet. Could also be a little noisy but overall a great location for sightseeing Cusco on foot. It´s near a great restaurant, Cicciolina.
