My husband and I stayed at the Casa Andina Private Collection in Cusco for 3 nights for our honeymoon. We were in Lima for 4 days prior to that, but compared to where we stayed there, Casa Andina WAS EXCELLENT!!! The staff was super friendly. Almost every staff member spoke english, and the moment we stepped in, they offered us tea and prepared the paperwork for us without while we relaxed in their lounge.

The hotel is only 3 miles from the airport, and it is in walking distance to the plaza de armas. Breakfast buffet is included, along with 2 free bottles of water in our room every day. That was KEY since you HAVE to drink bottled or boiled water in Peru. The concierge was extremely polite and helpful in whatever we needed. There are multiple outdoor courtyards making you feel like you´re staying in a villa despite being right smack in the middle of a busy city.

We had dinner there once which considering it was hotel food, was still far better than most places we ate in the city of Cusco and Lima. The alpaca steak was delicious. We also tried their tapas wine special one night. You get 3 glasses of wine and all you can eat tapas for only $45 soles/person. We were even upgraded to a suite without us knowing. Maybe they remembered us saying it was our honeymoon?

Everyone was so friendly and so accommodating, that if we were to visit again we would definitely stay in this beautiful hotel. For only $138/night during peak season, you can`t beat that. check in time 12:00pm and check out 10:00am. Breakfast 5am -10am.

Room Tip: they also have late check out of 11:30am.

A beautiful restored Spanish-style building around a courtyard in a small square not far from Plaza de Armas, the walls are four foot thick. Our suite opened onto the courtyard and had no outside windows but it was comfortable and the bed was huge. The staff were friendly and there was an excellent selection of food for breakfast. The Internet connection was a little hit and miss, but worked most of the time. This is an excellent base from which to explore the fascinating city of Cusco.

We stayed at this hotel on the 29th of May 2013 for 2 nights. The reception staff staff were friendly and made us feel welcome from the first meeting, all the other staff we came into contain were also friendly and pleasant to talk too , except the barman who appeared to be miserable, although I think this was his general demeanor rather than his actual attitude as he served us with no issues and explained about the buffet that was available from the bar in the evening
The room was large and the bed was huge,
The free cocoa tea was on tap in the lounge and a nice touch was the 2 complimentary bottles of water in the room every day.
The attached restaurant ( Alma) was excellent and the head waiter Fredy was a joy to have attend to us. Not only did he explain the menu but he also explained all about the Corpus Christi celebrations that were going on in the city.
The hotel was conveniently placed only a short walk to the Plaza de Armas and the Santa Domingo church.

Really nice hotel, right in the middle of Cusco. We stayed for 2 nights and then went off for a night to Machu Picchu, finally returning for a further 2 nights. On returning we found they had upgraded us to a suite which ran virtually the whole side of the second floor. Also I have never seen such a huge bed - at least 7 foot wide.

This hotel is located between and only a short distance from the Plaza de Armas and the Santa Domingo Church where the Incan Temple of the Sun is located. We walked to both locations on two different days. This is a very nice hotel with a good restaurant, bar, room service, concierge, and helpful staff. We tried to speak Spanish most of the time, but the entire staff speaks English. The hotel has at least two patios that I saw. Our room was clean with everything in good working order, but the only window was to the hallway by our door. To be fair, we could also see a patio out that window, but we kept the curtains closed because of people passing by. The restaurant was good but breakfast was outstanding. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We sent our bags a day ahead to the hotel and had them held there for half a day when we left without any problem. There is a lot of quality shopping in the area.

Room Tip: Get a room with a window.

This hotel is beautiful. The restoration work has been carried out brilliantly making a unique and interesting place to stay. We had requested a balcony and had a fantastic room which looked out onto the square below. The room was huge with a small dining table, office space and a huge super king bed which was so comfortable and welcoming after exploring Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu as well as the markets, temples and churches. Definitely a great base when staying in Cusco.
