No fans in the bathrooms, instead you have to open this tiny window which brings in all the noise from other rooms. Bathtub was quite slippery, so be careful getting in and out. Very noisy at night as people's voices carry in the centrum and keep you awake. Walls are very thin so you hear everything from the rooms on either side of yours. Rug definitely needed cleaning. Breakfast was basic, but probably the worst that we encountered while on tour. The restaurant for dinner was okay.

Most every thing at this hotel was nice, service, breakfast, and location. The "but" is the rooms they showed us were tiny with no outside windows. We were there 4 nights and demanded a room change as the room was hardly big enough for our luggage. The problem was our prior hotels on this trip were so much better, it made this one look worse. There are a number of superior hotels in Cusco, we just picked the wrong one. also 4 nights in Cusco is one too many.

Room Tip: good luck.

Great location, really nice hotel. Nice breakfast (although is the same breakfast buffet every day, they should change some items). Good size rooms.
Cons: It does not have A/C and we had to ask for a fan because it was quite warm at night.
The room was nice, good amenities. The only thing that I have to criticize is the bathrooms: they are the US motel like plastic bath tubs. For his hotel being the highter category of the Casa Andina Brand, the bathrooms should be of a better/higher quality. No elevators.
Pros: Beautiful old building with indoor patios. Location: within walking distance to all major touristic sites in Cusco.

I hate to write this review because I'm not normally a complainer, but...... This is a very nice, clean, well located hotel, with a good breakfast. The staff was friendly. The Concierge Desk was so helpful. Everything was great except........ I spent 3 nights. The first night was fine, (I can live with outside noise) The second night, there were two men in the room next door and I swear it was like they were in our room. I could hear them talk, snore, belch, pee and pass gas. I could hear every time they zipped and unzipped their suitcase or hung a hanger on a rod. Totally unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Maybe a hostel but not a hotel. Needless to say, I did not sleep at all. The next morning I approached the desk to change hotels for my 3rd night. The front desk asked if they could accommodate by either putting me in a suite, which was on the street, thus street noise, or they promised not to put anyone in the room next to me. I accepted that option and the 3rd night was fine. But because of the risk of having someone in the room next to you, I unfortunately cannot recommend this property, which is a shame.

We were fortunate to have a lovely room not too far from the main lobby (thanks to reading recommendations on Trip Advisor). We had a two room suite, but there was no window in the sitting area. There was a small balcony overlooking the narrow street below our room. I was very fortunate to be able to watch a religious parade go by on the street below the balcony. The room was comfortable, and all service was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the colonial ambiance of this hotel. It is an excellent location, close to restaurants and only three and a half blocks from the city Main Square.

Room Tip: Make sure your room isn't too far from the main lobby.

We stayed here 2 nights. This hotel is very conveniently located to Plaza de Armas and San Blas area. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the staff attentive to our table each day. We had a luggage mix up from a tour transfer and the staff here was able to help us quickly locate it and brought it direct to our room. Our family had 2 rooms on the third floor. Both faced the courtyard. One room was small but comfortable. Being an old building the ceilings were a bit low. Our room was large with vaulted ceilings and very comfortable. The beds were very nice with plenty of blankets. We had no noise issues. Yes you do have to walk up there but it is not a problem if you are mobile. We did have to request oxygen and it was provided immediately for our family members, no charge. Coca tea ( & I believe other varieties) is always available in the lounge area. Our son made use of the technology center ( computers) to work on some homework. A printer is available to print LAN boarding passes also. WiFi in the room worked just fine for us.
We had drinks in the bar and the bar tender was very friendly showing us the different types of Pisco and how to make a Pisco Sour. Basically Casa Andina was a perfect place to stay, comfortably appointed and in a good location.

Stayed here three nights total, before and after the Inca Trail. The pros of the hotel: beautiful public areas, comfortable beds, lots of hot water, good buffet breakfast and friendly staff, especially Armando at breakfast and the bell captain. The cons. The first time was in a room facing the courtyard. These are small, a little dark, overly warm (heating was on all night in spring, November) and, worst of all, incredibly noisy. No insulation whatsoever so anyone walking outside and talking (which is just about every loud and tipsy tourist in town it would seem) you will hear it all. Someone sneezes three doors down you will hear it. The second time was upgraded to a suite (room 301) which was much quieter- being on the top floor, no noises from overhead either. The downside of that is this being a historical building access to upper floors is stairs only, no lifts.
Also do note their checkout time is 10 am and when I asked for a late checkout, was offered "11:15"!! With a check-in time of 3 pm, seems for the price you get a room for only half a day!

Location-wise, pretty convenient. About a 10-minute walk to Plaza De Armas, although it is uphill all the way. The hotel offers coca tea all day in the lounge, although it was not brought to our attention so we only realised on the last day!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room that is not facing the courtyard.
