“Delightful!”

Wonderful colonial hotel .
Great location , short walk to main square .
Beautiful decor throughout the hotel contributing to a extremely peaceful atmosphere.
Staff and all service in all areas were amazing.
Rooms and beds extremely comfortable and spacious enough to include a 3rd bed for our daughter; who particularly enjoyed the hot water placed there each evening.
Complementary snacks, water and pop are provided in the minibar.
Wonderful large bathroom with double sinks, soaker tub and large shower. A heated towel rack in the bathroom is also handy for drying any small items of laundry.

Afternoon tea , including coca tea is served each afternoon in the dining room between 4 and 6. Coca tea also served in our room upon arrival.
Breakfast was good , eggs can be ordered in addition to the buffet items. It starts at 5am if you have an early start.
Dinner was included in our package and we found the food to be excellent. Meals included three courses. Unfortunately we were feeling the effects of the altitude and could not eat as much as usual.
We stayed in two different rooms in this hotel on our way in and out of the Sacred Valley , one opened into the interior of the hotel, it was probably a little larger than the second which had a window opening onto a side street. This room had double windows and shutters --- we did not find it noisy.

Would love to go back.

Very nice hotel, service and rooms. Best value than Monasterio and very similar experience.

You step inside and feel you are in a private home. No receiption desk or noisy hotel lobby. The furniture, the artwork, the inner courtyard, all exudes peacefulness. The staff are unobtrusive but eager to be helpful. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to enjoy it. Definitely give yourself at least 2 days here. First to aclimate to the altitude and next to explore the city. The rooms are spacious with fireplace, interesting books to peruse and large bathrooms. After a day of sightseeing, the dinner was pleasant and relaxing. When I complimetned the waiter on the cookies, he brought me a 2nd batch to have with breakfast on on the flight home. While they do not offer oxygenated rooms, there is oxygen and no charge for those who wish to avail themselves.

My best ever hotel experience, amazing facilities and the staff are on top of their game, nothing is a problem, simply a pleasure to stay here.
The hotel itself is so amazing, you're surrounded in absolute luxury in all facets of your stay. I'll return here on my next visit to Cuzco

This place was owned by Juan Pizzaro the brother of Francisco Pizarro. It has an amazing history and is so beautiful. Our suite was incredible with a large sitting area, fireplace, double granite vanities, large freestanding tub, huge walkin shower and a large comfy bed! The breakfast was excellent and our dinner at the hotel was outstanding! Great location in historic city center!

We stayed here in one of the bottom suits for 3 nights.

The actual hotel and the room/bathroom are fantastic but our room backed onto the street. It was so noisy all night with party-goers and just general traffic that we didn't get a good night sleep the whole time.

The room was also very hot and as it was so noisy, having a window open wasn't an option.

Breakfast was good as was dinner and the common areas are very nice. Staff were friendly.

Room Tip: If you do choose to stay here request a room on the second floor not over-looking the street.

My husband and 2 daughters stayed here New Year's Eve 2011 and absolutely loved it. Our room was one of the coolest rooms we've ever stayed in and the New Year's Eve dinner was outstanding. Our room, #6, was stunning and huge. I think #6 is the room featured on the hotel web site. Our daughters (12 and 14) stayed next door in an equally fabulous room. We felt very comfortable staying in side-by-side but not adjoinign rooms as this is a small hotel, with only 11 rooms. Our 1st 2 nights in Cusco we stayed at the Monasterio. The Monasterio was definitely lovely but the rooms at La Casona were far superior (and cheaper). La Casona is across the small plaza from Monasterio, so in the same excellent location. We can't recommend this place more highly.
