Elena and I communicated for months before our arrival to Cusco. She answered all of my questions with such patience and was extremely informative. It was as if I was meeting a family member once I finally met her. We were greeted with coca tea to prevent symptoms of altitude sickness as we sat down with Elena while she gave us a helpful map of the surrounding streets. The hotel is beautifully cozy, plenty of hot water, clean, delicious simple breakfast and extremely safe. Elena also planned out our Machu Picchu trip. Due to teacher strikes, our train ride up and back was interrupted but Elena organized a private pick up/drop off for us even though the stop was at a further distance. Elena and her team are tough to beat in hospitality, cost, and professionalism. We already miss them all.

We were very happy with our stay in casa Elena the first two nights in Cuzco. We also decided to stay a third night when coming back from the Urubamba valley.
Casa Elena is a clean and very hospitable place, great breakfast and location. We can only recommend this place!

We stayed here twice, 5 years apart and both times we felt the warmth of the Peruvian people. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the breakfast is good. It's a lovely atmosphere and once you are inside on the premises, you feel transported to a different world. You don't hear the noises from the street and it's a very private and safe.

The Casa is centrally located and barely a 5 minute walk to the Plaza de Las Armas.

The owner, Elena, is a whiz at organising tours and transportation. Our tour to Machu Picchu was without incident both times...the taxis were on time, the hotel, train and bus bookings perfect. The tour guides she uses are all very good. Elena will also provide advice on any questions you may have about the area and things to do.

The perfect place to stay in Cuzco.

...Elena the owner is helpful and does all possible to make your stay comfortable and stress free. Delicious breakfast with fresh bread and 100% juices, eggs, cheese, ham, fruit, tea, coffee. Perfect way to start your site seeing day. The Hostel is inviting, clean and comfortable. The staff is always ready and available to assist. Will recommend and will stay there again if I ever visit Cusco again.

Room Tip: The Hostel is within walking distance of the Plaza, shopping, restaurants etc. Good value for money.
