I satyed here for two days and had a decent stay, large room good bathroom ect... I then went to the Sacred valley & Macchu Pichu and stayed here when I got back for one night.

This time the room I had was much worse. Single bed and a tiny room, the barthoom however was massive, twice the size of the bedroom and I was right next to the reception where people kept talking which was annoying.

I left the hotel fairly satisfied the first time but a lot less so he second time.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a Cusco/Machu Picchu package tour. Nice place, comfortable. As someone said, a little dated, but not in an unpleasant way. Staff was helpful and courteous. Plenty of computers for internet. Good breakfast. Location was OK. A little walk to the center but certainly manageable once you're used to the altitude!

I stayed for just 3 days in this hotel during my trip to Cusco and I must say I had a very great time there.

The hotel is located in a quiet street, not so close to the main square as someone said here.

The staff is very helpful and gentle. They offer you Coca Tea when you arrive in order to make you feel better because of the altitude. The are always there to help whenever you want.

The rooms are nice and comfy, big enough, and without any noise. The breakfast is also another excelent part of the stay. Everything's delicious.

I'd recommend and would go back again.

Dear Gizelle,

Casa Don Ignacio we strive to give value to travelers; good service at a smart rate.
Location wise, its really just within a few minutes walk to the main square and 2-3 blocks from Coricancha/Sun Temple.
Many thanks for taking time to review your stay!

Decent hotel, a bit dated on the inside but everything worked well. Really good shower and decent bathroom, massive room with TV and loads of channels and the staff are very nice and helpful.

Only down side is it is 5-10 mins walk from main square but good value compared to some of more expensive hotels.

Breakfast not bad either as they offer to cook fresh eggs which is a bonus and thye stored my big pack when I went to Macchu Picchu for a few days and took a small pack.

Dear Alan,

Many thanks for commenting your stay at Casa Don Ignacio.
Premises have been revamped to surprise our guests with tasteful new facilities.
Staff members receive on going trainning on customer service as well.
And yes, it can take a few minutes walk from main square but the location is not bad considering the short cab ride and the proximity to Coricancha/Sun Temple and the market!

On recent trip to Cuzco with family we stayed at La Casa de don Ignacio. The place had a nice homely feel and staff, especially security boys at the entrance always made us feel welcome. The showers were hot when they needed to be and it was always clean. The good selection at breakfast kept us fuelled up for the cold mornings and it always felt safe there, in fact so did all parts of Cuzco we visited even at night, and I had a wife and 10mth old son with me too. The walk from the city centre is a good warm up in the cold mornings but the 3-4 Solis taxis are always on hand if you´re feeling lazy.

Free wifi & there´s plenty of computers with internet access downstairs but it´s not break neck speed service if you´re in a hurry.

7th Day Adventists school next door can be a little vocal when school parade starts in the morning but we were already awake by then.

Stayed for the week and couldn't ask for much more. Breakfast was included and had all the basics (including eggs) plus very fresh fruit. Free WiFi. 10 min walk from the main square or 3 sol in taxi. Staff were very helpful and tried to help when ever they could. Thanks for a great stay. I'll be back again for sure.

This place was really great but every morning was torture trying to get me into the shower. I told the front desk repeatedly the hot water wasnt working but they didnt believe me or told me they would send someone to fix it but never did. Also I stayed for 5 weeks and the internet disappeared almost everyday for a few hours (a little inconvenient when trying to communicate with family back home).
