“Good location in walking distance to the main square”

The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the staff also friendly and helpful. The restaurant provides and extensive buffet breakfast and also provides a dinner menu with plenty of variety for exhausted travellers who don't want to go out again for dinner. Unlimited supplies of coca tea to help with altitude is available in the lobby. On the down side the rooms around the roofed in lobby and restaurant courtyards and noisy and all sounds echo up to the rooms and with the many early starts your sleep can be cut short. Also one room we were in had a very noisy plumbing duct and combined with the noise from early breakfasters resulted in us asking to move to a quieter room, which was carried out with minimal fuss. The quieter rooms seem to be the ones away from these courtyards and towards the back of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the enclosed courtyards towards the back of the hotel for a better ni...

Eco Inn is conveniently located in Cuzco away from the noisier areas of the city. The hotel was new and modern and very well maintained. The rooms were nice, large, clean and private. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The included breakfast was good and varied.

Our travel agent booked us into a medium grade hotel. But I would rate this is an upscale hotel. The staff were very friendly. They always opened the front doors fr us and other guests. The hotel is clean, the lobby is nice and has coca tea available.

The rooms we had (306 first stay and 206 second stay) weren't very spacious but had everything we needed, including a nice large bathroom with good water pressure and enough hot water. The beds were very comfortable and the staff very pleasant. The night we spent in 306 was peaceful enough, but just one floor lower, there was a terrific noise from some kind of generator or other industrial device constantly switching on and off right outside the window, and I was also bothered by ringing phones from reception all night and restaurant staff clanging crockery around well into the night. I'm not sure if one floor can make such a difference, or if I was more tired during the first stay and didn't notice, but do ask for a room as high up as possible and as far away from reception as possible. The hotel is built around a big triple volume square with the restaurant on the one side, so sort of open plan with the rooms above and around. There were also rooms directly opposite/facing reception set further back, but on the first and second floors, so those may be quieter.

As others have said, I didn't see much evidence of anything remotely 'Eco' here, despite the name, so if you choose hotels based on those types of things, be sure to ask what they mean. For example, they have three lifts serving two floors. If they just continued with the ramp instead of stairs they wouldn't need lifts at all.

The breakfast was good, and the coffee extra strong. I had a few light meals at the restaurant and everything was very tasty and well prepared. One night they even had some live music in the dining room.

They kindly store your luggage for you while you visit MP, but be sure to keep the tag they give you or you'll also have to wait out a frantic 30-minute search for your cases that may be stored in the other storeroom...

Other reviewers have complained about the location, but for me it was actually perfect. It's not so far from Plaza de Armas (yes, it's uphill, but that means it's downhill on the way back, no?), and certainly much quieter and more relaxed than being in the centre of town. If you wanted to go to the other big mercado, you'd best catch a taxi though. It's directly opposite a huge craft market and the bus station where the bus to the train station leaves from. You can walk there in 2 minutes. There are restaurants around the hotel to choose from too, so I think a great location.

As an aside: there is an excellent clinic just behind the hotel if you need medical treatment. They do a very good job with treating stomach bugs and altitude sickness and are very professional and helpful.

Good sized rooms and the whole place is clean and tidy. The friendly staff make it a very comfortable stopover. The only negatives were soggy pillows, noisy plumbing and not great sound protection, but none of this would stop me using the hotel.
They offer endless cups of mate de coca, which is essential for the high altitude, and the hotel is right across the road from the Inca Market, where you can contribute to the local economy with really excellent souvenirs.
The hotel is 15 mins from the Airport and a 10 minute walk to the town centre (taxi costs 3 sol). Try the restaurant next door. Excellent quality and you can sample the local delicacy Cuy if you like guinea pig!

Room Tip: Higher up is less noisy than the lower floors.

This hotel is excellently located as it is only a short walk to the main square where there are lots of shops, restaurants, etc. and close to some important sites in the city. The hotel is bright and airy, as reception is open plan. Breakfast is excellent. In the dining room there is a water feature which has fish swimming around. The staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. The only criticism I have is that our room was on the ground floor just across from reception, the room was also close to the dining room, the bar, and the exit door to the courtyard for smokers, so it tended to be a bit noisy, not good if you have to be up early. Apart from this point it was excellent.

Room Tip: As I mentioned earlier, a room on the upper floors would probably be better.

I was surprised how nice this hotel was when we arrived. Super nice staff, just about everyone spoke English (or tried) despite the fact that I speak Spanish. Beautiful central courtyard with lots of light/ sun and space (along w/ Coco tea for the altitude) beautiful plants and soft music.

Room was medium sized, clean bed, shower and bath (shower curtain could have been changed)
over looking the large dinne/ breakfast area (with little river and Coi pond).

WIFI connection OK, but worked. Free breakfast was nice - lots of good food for all kinds of tastes.

NIce central location across from the main Cuzco market (great for shopping) a short walk from the center or town.

I would recommend this place to anyone and would go back again.

We also had a tour with Condor Tours - they were REALLY great too - everyone spoke Engklish and they went out of their way to help us (walked us to the check in booth at the airport and helped us check bags)... they were great.
