I liked this hotel. The room was spacious with a lounge area and there was a jacuzzi type bath, which was luxurious. There was decent glazing, which is handy, because Lima is a noisy city and the traffic din can be cacophonous. The staff were also very friendly and I have no complaints. Even the price wasn't too bad. I paid less than $110 for this big room, which felt like a bargain after the tiny extortionately priced room I paid more for in Cusco in a hotel called Rumi Punku.
I would happily have given the hotel four stars, but I just felt it was a little far from most of the places I wanted to visit. Although there are a lot of nice restaurants and shops nearby, to go to any major tourist sites, or visit the ocean, you need to take a taxi. Catching local cabs are cheap in Peru if you can speak some Spanish and negotiate with the driver, but I thought the rates the hotel quoted me were a little on the high side, so I stuck with the local drivers. For others, it might be better going with the secure drivers the hotel recomends, but they cost more.More
