We stayed in the Duo Hotel Boutique for 3 nights and were very happy. It feels like a home rather than a hotel with a comfortable living room and small dining area. The service is friendly and always available whether you need recommendations for dinner, a taxi, a light bulb or a bucket of ice. They provide a full breakfast with fresh fruit, juices, cereals, cheeses, meats, breads, eggs made to order and good strong coffee. The rooms are large with high ceilings, air conditioning and windows that open. The furnishings are stylish without being pretentious and the comfortable beds have nice linens. The carpet is not up to the standard of the rest of the furnishings but that would be my only suggestion.

We didn't want to stay in the tourist areas of Miraflores because it is noisy day and night. In San Isidro we could walk around the neighborhood (including the golf course), buy wine and food at the nearby Vivianda market and sleep with the windows open to the cool Lima breeze. We would definitely consider staying at the Duo Hotel Boutique again.

We stayed in this hotel for one night, to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent, the breakfast really good and our room was so clean and big ! We had the jaccuzi room, and it was so nice to use it after a week of Inca Trail. The neighborhood was nice but the hotel was a bit far away from everything. At least, it is a really quiet hotel.

Staff went above and beyond to help us navigate the city, arrange transportation, and make reservations for dinner. They all were so kind and courteous. Neighborhood was very nice and it was a good spot to be between Miraflores and Historic downtown. Room were very big (could be nicer), but the staff more than made up for a mediocre room

We stayed here for a few nights on arrival in Lima from Australia, great place to recuperate. Service was excellent, front desk staff spoke good English and the rest of the staff made every effort to make sure we weren't being neglected.
The Hotel is not located near the "tourist" areas which was good as far as we were concerned but is still only a short walk to San Isidro central or a longer walk to Miraflores. Good opportunity to learn the Peru way of taxi negotiation if going to Miraflores, worst we paid was S20 but had it down to S8 by the the end of our stay (probably expensive by local standards but $4aussie for a 15 minute cab ride.........) good way to mix it with the locals and practice the Spanish anyway, if not keen, then the front desk will get you a taxi for the correct price.
Corner shop 2 minutes away, six pack of beer S19 (I'm an Aussie this is important) and other Deli items, Botica (chemist) only 5 mins away plus a Chifa if you want to try Chinese food the Peruvian way, a Chifa experience is a required experience while in Peru.
Front rooms are noisy from the street but not too bad, a bit of double glazing would fix this but, really it's tolerable, we had the famous room 104 on the overnight stay after 3 weeks going around Peru (upgraded at no charge) just before leaving Peru which was excellent, a bit quieter as is at the back of the Hotel.
Food was excellent, we ate here at night as well as breakfast, all up very good.
All the normal things you would expect in a Hotel are here, safe deposit box in room and good Wifi as well.
So to sum up, great little Hotel to stay at while going through Lima, we recommend the Duo Hotel Boutique, Lima.

The Duo's location in San Isidro was welcome for the quiet on a Friday evening. Early impressions of Lima tells us that sleeping isn't the priority for weekends. Our room faced the street and as exhausted as we were, along with another early morning wake-up call, we needed the sleep. The staff were very kind and helpful with directing us to a great restaurant (Pescados Capitales) and even provided an early continental breakfast to take with us to the airport. Definitely recommend.

Room Tip: While we were concerned about a room in facing the street, we managed a great night's sleep. (W...

First impressions... This place has a strange energy. The room although enormous, didnt have any wow factor. The room smelt like cleaning products, so they had clearly overused them. The reception staff were cold initially but by the evening they had warmed up.

They were helpful though in getting us a taxi from the main road. The jacuzzi is wonderful, but allow an hr to fill it. And security were wonderful in making sure that we were ok when we returned from dinner. The included breakfast is a nice treat also.

It was a nice property but it just had a strange aura about it. Disappointing really because I can see what everyone is talking about. It just didn't have the same effect on me.

It's close to Miraflores district also, and there is a supermarket 2 minutes down the road. Enjoy your stay, be open minded.

Room Tip: Room 104, jacuzzi suite. Large but mundane.

We stayed here after an exciting but exhausting 2 weeks tour of Peru. We chose it because of the good reviews and were looking for something more personal, intimate and luxurious than the large, fairly basic hotel which was used as a starting and finishing point for our tour group in Miraflores. San Isidiro is quieter but still within easy reach of downtown Lima and also many local restaurants and shops.and was an ideal place to relax. All the staff were friendly ,courteous and extremely willing to help. The girls on reception were welcoming and charming. Our room was a Junior suite with a separate sitting area with table and chairs and we were offered a laptop for personal use. WE slept really well.THe toiletries, linen and towels were good quality and everything was spotless and in good working order. We left feeling rested and very pleased to have been there.
