We just spent two nights at Hotel Vila Santa at the beginning of our Peru trip. The rooms are a decent size, the beds very comfortable. We had only one full day to explore Lima and were helped immensely by the young woman at the desk in deciding what to see and how to get there using local transportation. The breakfasts were ample and good. Other staff also helped us in getting transportation back to the airport. I do wish they had noted on their website that they offer airport pickup and drop off. They are much cheaper than the private service we used to pick us up when we arrived. There is a down side however. The hotel is currently building an addition and the construction noise started fairly early in the morning. It didn't bother us too much because we were gone all day but it could be a real headache if you wanted to come back to your room midday to rest.

We stayed at this hotel based on the Trip Advisor reviews, but I was disappointed by the experience. I read several reviews about the construction, but figured it couldn't be that bad -- I was wrong. The construction lasts from 8am until 6pm, and it sounds as though they are hammering directly outside your door. (I was staying with several others at the hotel, and it sounded similarly loud in all of our rooms.) Also, my room was not cleaned during my stay.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were fine, but I would DEFINITELY not stay here again until the construction is finished.

The location was very convient. The staff was very helpful. One of the receoptionest even stepped out on the street to help me get the right bus. Breakfast was also very good. They are adding. more floors so there is construction in progress.

We stayed the week after Christmas and stayed thru New Years. Total 6 days. We had a double bed room and had 2 small kids. Rooms came equpped with microwave and small fridge. Room is a nice size but no a/c. Weather was nice so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. We did have a fan in there and a window. We would leave window cracked to get a nice breeze, but I would have to shut it early morning to avoid the construction noise. They are building a large buidling right beside the hotel. They would start at about 8am. We usually left mid morning so it wasn't too big of a deal since we have kids that are early risers anyway. Our shower would go from hot and cold within seconds which didn't make showers very pleasant. We did tell hotel staff but they didn't seem to have a response about it and said that was weird. I didn't make that much of a fuss about it. Breakfast is free but the the food just okay. Eggs were usually cold as they don't put them on heaters. They put out hot milk for the coffee but you have to use the same for the cereal which makes it super soggy. We stayed at this place because it was close to family. I wouldn't recommend it if you were coming to visit without knowing anyone. Not much tourist type items. Staff was all very pleasant. There was a lady who always stopped by to talk to us during breakfast. She was very nice and helpful with the kids.

This hotel is tucked down the street (easy walk) from a nice shopping/eating district. The service here is amazing (we had a great experience with airport pickup, room cleaning, getting information and directions, and overall service). Catherine and Alba were especially helpful at the front desk. We had one of our bags lost at the airport, and they coordinated with the airline to have it returned and it was sitting in our room when we got back to the hotel. The room has a nice bed, microwave, refrigerator, and steam room/sauna in the bathroom. Everything you need. It is a short cab ride to the beach in Miraflores. We actually ran to the beach one morning, which was a perfect run along a main street to the beach. The price on this place gives you great value for your trip. Highly recommend.

A fairly pleasant hotel, but there is a construction project next door which makes it unpleasant to be in one's room during the day. Stay away for the next several months. On our first night there, when we really needed a nap after a direct overnight flight from San Francisco, they continued banging away until 6:30 PM, even though they had assured us the work would stop at 5 PM.

Room Tip: As long as the construction continues, there are no good rooms

This hotel barely falls within Miraflores and is actually bordering Surco. The metro isn't nearby, the main shopping areas are not as close as advertised. We were first given a room without an AC in Lima summer and then later given a room with an AC with a jacuzzi INSIDE the room and with an obviously wet carpetted floor. The previous occupant obviously used the jacuzzi and had a splash! For one of the nights they did this upgrade for free but other nights we paid not be in the non-aircon room. We were told that we should have asked for a room with aircon. You can expect that from BnBs but not hotels. The meal that we ate there was barely edible. The staff, however, was sweet and tried to help.
