My group of 4 had a late Sunday night flight out of Lima and wanted to have a one great dinner before going to the airport. La Locanda it fit the profile and delivered a great meal and experience. This was not any type of settling because it was a Sunday night, this was very good food and dining. Diego was our waiter and he was great, so helpful in recommendations for dishes, which would be best to split and then once we selected our dishes he was so helpful in figuring the order they would arrive to us. The food is very well crafted Peruvian dishes with some Peruvian twists on classic western dishes. We enjoyed the grilled squid, the scallop cebiche, the suckling pig and the osso bucco over pasta, among other dishes. All were excellently prepared. The wine list covers the Americas and Europe and fits so nicely with the menu. This was a fine dining meal but not pretentious or stuffy.
