We stayed in SM hotel for one night on our way to Puno. We came at night and left in the morning. We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and seemed ok both on the webpage and reviews on TripAdvisor. The pick-up service is good, although it costs $ 10 one way.

The hotel is new and clean, but there are no isolation in the glass windows, which resulted in too much noise from the road and outside during the night. The receptionist spoke english quite good, but had problems describing the way to the nearest reataurant, which was 100 metres away, resulting in another hotel staff member walking us there. Breakfast was just okay and a pluss for wifi. Just for sleeping, which was our case, I would not recommend this hotel, all because of the noise from outside.

We stayed here for six hours but it met our needs. The hotel has been updated, is safe, staff was courteous, rooms clean, bed comfortable. Only negatives were the lack of windows and damp smell. The taxi rate is 40 soles each way booked by the hotel or at the airport. We were not too comfortable taking un official taxis and didn't mind paying for safety. Overall, excellent airport hotel.

This hotel is fairly close to the airport and has an appealing, modern design. I would highly recommend using the hotel's car service, as the airport is very busy and having someone waiting at the airport is a big plus. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was prompt and excellent. Unfortunately, maintenance is a problem for this hotel. My door deadbolt didn't work, and there was black mold in the bathroom. In addition, the front desk said I only needed to leave the hotel two hours before my flight to Cusco, when I really needed a lot more time (I was very close to missing my flight). For the price I paid, I expected better maintenance and service.

On May 28th, 2013 we booked this hotel for February 28th, 2014 for 1 night. Expedia stated Thank you for booking with Expedia, We have confirmed your hotel reservation with the property.
Then on June 4th, 2013 we received this note from the hotel "We are writing you for let you know the unfortunally your reservation to February 28 th in a Double room , will have be cancel, since January 11th to February 28th, the hotel would be close because of building activities".
We then searched for other accommodation. This week I was checking other reservations in Expedia and it still showed that we had a confirmed reservation at this hotel. I contacted the hotel to enquire if we had a reservation. This was their reply - "Thank you for contact us. Seeing in our system, it shows us that your reservation is still running, but apparently you want to cancel it. Please send us an e-mail to confirm that, and proceed according to your request." I was a little confused and so I sent them another e-mail asking what was happening, this is the latest response, "Our apologize. As my co-worker told you the hotel will be closed for those days, we are going to check in Expedia because you say that they are rooms available."
Our reservation still shows as confirmed in Expedia. Its a little unsettling to say the least.

We were very impressed from the moment our driver picked us up from the airport, to the helpful receptionist who spoke perfect English, to our clean and modern room with a hot tub, to our packed breakfast to go! The receptionist even helped us find a restaurant we could order from. And the best part: the price!!! Compared to North American standards this hotel is a bargain!
Book it with no worries!

Good choice for overnight stay. Clean rooms. Modern design. Not so good neighborhood. One complaint i have is the hotel offered taxi service from airport for $25, which didn't work because the taxi they selected failed. After 50 min. of waiting we went and found different service for 35 soles (half the hotel's price). Lesson learned.

We were impressed with the staff. The room and hotel were spotless. Also the taxi driver who picked us up from the airport was amazing. We highly recommend this hotel especially for people needing to be close to the airport. Also the staff packed us a breakfast on day of the flight which was a nice suprise.
