“Outstanding Hotel in the center of Miraflores”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 September 2012

This hotel is ultramodern set in the middle of the upscale Miraflores district of Lima. Rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable with free wi-fi. The included breakfast is outstanding with both buffet offerings and an extensive cooked to order menu.
The staff is friendly and efficient and arranges tours and reservations. We requested a late check out and were allowed to stay in the room free of charge until 4pm.
The area is convenient and it is only a 15 minute walk to the upscale LarcoMar seaside mall which has many restaurants and shops.
I highly recommend the hotel for anyone who wants convenience, understated elegance and value.

We stayed 2 nights at the Radisson. This was our first stop of our whirlwind trip to Peru. This hotel is located in the residential neighborhood of miraflores and in close proximity to all happening restaurants. It is steps away from the beach although we preferred taking a taxi everywhere. We got some promotional deal during our stay and really enjoyed the bar where we had some complimentary pisco sours - perfect way to kickstart our trip. The room was clean and spacious and had partial views of the pacific. The hotel staff was inconsistent in their service. The lady at the front desk was rather adamant that I show my AAA card since I had booked a special rate. The service was a bit inconsistent as well since what we asked for took forever to show up at our door. The complimentary breakfast had good variety but something did not go down well with me on the first day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt safe walking around the neighborhood.

Booked the hotel based on the reviews but we had a totally different experience. We checked-in late - 9:30pm - and the night reception was horrible! I personally prefer small boutique hotels but in Lima, the ones with good reviews are mostly chain hotels. I know that you do not get the more personal service in a chain hotel but you would expect the standard customer care. I did notice that the daytime hotel receptionists were better - or perhaps it's because my husband, who rarely speaks out, stormed at the reception desk about how we were unable to sleep all night! Our room was directly under the rooftop lounge and we could hear the music and worst, the people dancing, intermittently jumping, and yelling along with the music - as though the ceiling was about to fall upon us. Then the next morning, around 7am, beating my early riser toddler, we were awoken by chairs or tables being pulled around - I think they were cleaning up. Why would they book a room underneath the rooftop lounge? I am assuming they have gotten previous complaints! Also, why wouldn't they have a separate elevator for the rooftop lounge? My husband was trying to get the elevator from our floor later that night to the lobby and he said the elevator bypassed him 5 times - so he decided to walk down. There were non-hotel guests from the lobby going to the rooftop lounge and vise versa and on a weekend, this is obviously going to be an issue especially with a small elevator!

I have stayed in all sorts of places around the world and none has come close to how bad our experience was in this hotel. It was unfortunate that it had to happen to us but one can only hope that it doesn't happen to you.

It's your typical Latin American Radisson, but with slighly inflated prices. In retrospect we should have spent the extra 20 bucks and stayed at the JW Marriott or Westin.

We arrived at 2 am after a long flight and I enquired about late check out the next day I was informed that the hotel was full so it would not be possible. Fine, but the Carlson Club gold membership little perks like late check out have never been a problem at other Radisson hotels.

Next day we again ask about late check out, I get told again that the hotel is full and the room is needed by a group of travel agents that need early check in - nice to see that I'm a valued customer. After some negiogiations we get an extra hour - generous!

So I go and look on line and book a room for the night (even though we aren't staying) with points and return to reception to ask if we need to check out then in again or change rooms. The response is no, so my question is why couldn't we just get free late check out in the first place? It's obvious the hotel wasn't full.

Thanks for not being honest with me Radisson I'm done staying with you ......

Had stayed in pricier hotels in Lima, but this one has the best service by far. Great tips on food, coffee houses, how to move around, what to order and even read! Everyone is friendly. The rooms are nice, and the terrace upstairs is perfect to chill. Great sushi, music & drinks at the bar. Breakfast buffet was much better than @ other expensive hotels, and once again, perfect service.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are the best, fantastic view of the bridge & sea.

Centro Lima is fine, but we wanted to be near the Pacific Ocean, shopping and some of Lima's great restaurants. The Radisson fit the bill, was incredibly reasonable for the quality of the decor, the bar and the location. We walked to La Rosa Nautica, the Parc L'amour, ran along the cliff overlooking the Pacific. We arrived late & tired after spending 7 hours in the Juliaca airport (our one glitch on the 2 week trip). The weekend supervisor made some calls for us for a restaurant that evening getting us a spot at La Rosa Nautica, which is on a pier IN the Pacific. As we ate a fabulous meal we watched the surfers opposite our table! Shopping in Mira Flores was a 15 minute walk along a boulevard with a treed median. Finding a restu can be difficult on Sunday as many are closed. Again our "agent" found a nice cebicheria for us which was walkable (5 minutes) and made our reservations. The breakfast was extensive and included in the rate. All wait staff for both breakfasts and cocktail hour were gracious and considerate.

Front desk staff Rodriguez and breakfast staff jonathon spoke English well and were very helpful. Rooms ok, nothing wrong with them. Bar staff spoke poor English, didn't understand requirements, significant 40 minute delay in ordering just one anti pasti plate, speed dial in rooms not connected and cross wired to front desk.
