This hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-located for our two night stay in Lima. It is within walking distance of the coast and the main square of Miraflores, and the staff were kind enough to give us directions to various landmarks around the area. The airport pick up was efficient and affordable. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I wish we had been able to stay longer!

My husband and I traveled with 2 other adults from California (US) in late November 2013 and stayed at San Antonio Abad for 2 nights (11/17 and 11/18) through a Living Social 12 day Peru/Amazon deal through Kaypi Tours. Kaypi selected this hotel.

Pros
-Hotel is in a good location in Miraflores; safe neighborhood in Lima
-Kaypi transported us from airport to the hotel, took about 45 minutes
-Clean
-Gated Security, must call in to get through
-Walkable to nearby restaurants, parks and Larcomar shopping center
-Includes complimentary breakfast
-Hot shower
-Dining area layout and lobby looks nice
-Intimate living room on 3rd floor

Cons
-Honking horns on the street is constant, loud, and common in Lima
-Free WiFi, but it is slow inside your room

Side notes:
-No elevators
-Guests are expected to leave their room key with front desk whenever you leave the hotel
-Bedroom had the following: 2 twin beds, one extra blanket, small CRT TV, a vanity chair, arm chair, long mirror, fan (we did not need it), a handful of wire hangers, luggage rack
-Bathroom had the following: shampoo, conditioner, 2 bar soaps
-Breakfast buffet offers the basics: scrambled eggs, cut fruit, yogurt drink, teas, orange juice, toast

Happy Travels!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The service was excellent and worked with us to provide the different size rooms we needed. The complimentary breakfast buffet included eggs cooked to order and several choices of fruits, bread, juice, and other items. On some mornings, the breakfast was opened before the posted hours to accommodate tour groups leaving early. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. The hotel made for a very satisfactory base for a wonderful visit to Lima.

Room Tip: There is heavy morning traffic, so a room away from the street is recommended for persons desiring a...

This hotel is a little removed from the center of Miraflores, but is tucked away on a side street with excellent access to the Metropolitano metro-bus that runs north to Central Lima and south to Chorrillos. The staff is super friendly and professional. The rooms are small, but clean and the included breakfast buffet and airport pickup make the hotel even more attractive. I have stayed at Abad four times in the past few years, but never during the high season. On this trip, I found the hotel to be a bit too noisy in the mornings and evenings. There are large open spaces and sounds echo throughout the hotel. Door slamming and loud talking by guests in the lobby two floors below was a bit annoying. The hotel would benefit greatly by some inexpensive sound engineering.

Our room was clean and comfy but fairly plain but the staff were very friendly and helpful. They lent us tickets to the bus, arranged transport to/from the airport and even checked us in for our flight to Cusco. It's not right in the heart of Miraflores but it was just an easy walk.

Large room with furnished rooftop terrace which was an unexpected bonus. Arranged airport late night pick up at reasonable cost. Excellent and helpful reception staff. Very good breakfast. Good location just off main road with Miraflores attractions within short walking distance. Only required for one night and would happily stay longer if opportunity arises.
