“Great Accommodation”
Reviewed 13 November 2008

We would like to advise that we were very pleased with the service we received at this boutique hotel The staff were friendly and very helpful. The airport service was most appreciated In addition, we were able to leave gear secured there for 5 days when we traveled into the Amazon area. Also, when we arrived rather late, staff provided us with restaurant service. Finally, the cost was very reasonable. My wife and I plus our friends who were with us all would recommend the hotel without hesitation and if we ever return to Lima would certainly stay again.

Sincerely,
Bruce and Jan Howe

My husband and I stayed at the hotel San Antonio Abad in June. We booked online, a process that was easy and organised. Upon arrival in Lima, we were fetched from the airport by the hotel's driver; I think his name was Jose -- he was great, as was all of the staff at the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful, with tasty coffee. The common areas were absolutely beautiful, but our room and bath left a lot to be desired. They were fairly clean, but could have been better. Both needed updating and a replacement of most of the furnishings and fixtures. I think that a remodel of the chambres would make this a near perfect hotel. Depite the shabby room, overall we had a wonderful stay!

Hotel San Antonio Abad
Miraflores, Peru (2 October 2008, 9-10 November, 2008)

The San Antonio Abad is a small, older hotel just off the main tourist strip of Miraflores. Located a block off Avienda Benavides, it is convenient, but relatively quiet for its location. Most of the rooms face toward a small courtyard which gives them a pleasing view. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable with good beds. The hotel provides in-room cable TV and phone service. WiFi is available in the common areas and some of the rooms.

A solid breakfast was included in the $55.00 room rate. Fresh fruit, cheese, breads, juices, yogurt, coffee, tea, as well as eggs cooked to order were available.

Probably the best part of the hotel is its people. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were willing to provide information about various tourist attractions in the area and even verify opening times and cab rates for us. Several of the staff spoke English as well as Spanish.

we were there in Oct 2008, we booked thru their own web with speedy reply and the confirmation email is neat and complete.
the hotel is small with personal touch , it is truly a good value with the one-way airport plus room and breakfast . And the breakfast is wonderful - juicy fruits , fresh rolls , simple cheese , ham and eggs-at-your-preferred-style and ending with cup of tea and coffee. NO fancy food but it is just what you need to begin a fresh day , isn't it ?? Staff service is truly a TREASURE there - the receptionists are all stars - attentive and helpful . They even told us the nearest laundry for a big load cos they said hotel is bit expensive when it comes to washing . Great advice. Paul is truly our best man in Peru at the hotel . He was helping us to arrange the onward planning after Lima such as Machu Pichu , Ollantaytampo and Cusco . With his help , we could get arranged our car , train and hotel bookings smoothly. Peter is our car driver , though he could not speak english well but i could tell he is eager to help , willing to take extra efforts undoubtedly to make our car journey as carefree as possible.
so , i would hightly recommend you guys to stay there and ask help from Paul if you need any internal arrangement within Peru.
they charge reasonably and honestly- you have my words.
finally , my sincere thank-you to PAUL , Peter and all staff at this hotel. My next visit to LIma , if any , will only stay with you.

We stayed here for one night as we were catching a late night flight back to the states the following day. We (2 couples) were picked up at the airport (no charge) for the 40 minute trip back to the hotel. Our room was on the courtyard side which was good because the rooms on the streetside are noisy. The room is good size and the bathroom was very nice. The breakfast was excellent as they even cooked eggs to your order. That night, before we returned to the airport, we hung out and drank wine at the hotel and the service was very good. Our ride back to the airport was an experience in itself. I do not know how people drive in Lima. 8 million people, 7.99 million driving and honking their horns! It took 45 minutes to go the 12 miles in what can only be described as a thrill ride. Anyway, the Hotel San Antonio Abad was an excellent choice for the money, I think about $55/night.

Rooms are simple, clean and worth the price. We had 2 rooms. One faced the street and was very noisy. The other room faced the courtyard and it was peaceful. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfasts are adequate.

We were transiting from Quito through Lima to Cusco. Unfortunately the flights from Quito arrive late and nothing is available until morning to Cusco. We were looking for pickup from the airport, a good night's rest, breakfast and prompt return to the airport.

The hotel arranged a pickup from the airport. The taxi driver was very nice as well as prompt. The room and breakfast the next morning were both great. We thought the hotel was a good value and would certainly stay again next time we were in Lima.
