“Interesting history”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2012

If you have the time and are downtown, this is an interesting museum to visit. It is walking distance from the Monastery of San Francisco. This is a graphic representation of the Peruvian Inquisition history. I have been several times and the free tour guide only speaks Spanish.
Be sure to notice the statue to Simon Bolivar just across the street.

“Informative and educational”

This little known museum offers a good insight in the workings of the inquisition in Peru. Free and guided tours are offered in Spanish, English or French.

“Good history lesson.”

This is a very interesting museum where you can learn about the inquisition. It won't take too long (maybe an hour or so).

“Inquisition in Peru?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2012

Spain has the distinction of being the country we associate with the Inquisition, however, Peru's is less known and fortunately was not as successful. This was a graphic display of the torture methods as well as the actual room recreated where the council met. It is part of the Peruvian history and a must if you are interested in such. We were pleased to see many locals, albeit the kids loved the display.

Lots of other places to see and things to do than here ---- and the staff are downright ruse and arrogant!
