“May 2014 Peru”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

I am writing this review because all my trip decisions were based on trip-advisor.

This hostal is in a safe location in Miraflores, which is one of the most expensive areas in Lima. Its walking distance from the main streets and also not so close and its very relaxing and quiet. Angelo is what makes the place, he helps you with places to go and things to do. He recommended La Favorita (restaurant) in Miraflores, and it was very cheap, good and the owner even treat us with free drinks. We had a great time.

Now, the rooms are pretty basic. Depending on the room you are staying is the bathroom. Mine was a double bed and the bathroom was really small. There's plenty of hot water. I would stay again in this place, after all we only used the rooms to sleep.

Before we even arrived Angelo contacted us to see if there was anything he could advise us on for when we arrived. He organised a taxi to collect us at the airport. Its a nice quiet and relaxing B&B that's walking distance from Miraflores and other nearby attractions. Angelo and his wife couldn't do enough for us from making sure we had all we needed on arrival to booking a bus to Cusco for us and when we were leaving he gave us his person mobile number in case we had any difficulties while in Peru (which we didn't thankfully). The breakfast was delicious, I can still taste the juicy mango's. I highly recommend staying here

Room Tip: Had a twin room and it was a good size and the showers were powerful and warm. Outside area for brea...

This hotel is in a good location, easy walking distance of the main streets of Miraflores but far enough away from them to be quite. Angelo the owner is also fantastic really freindly and increadibly helpful. Unfortunatly the rooms are very tired and really need redecorating. The bathrooms are also increadibly small and a man could not have used the shower with ease due to the size...it was hard enough to move once you were out of the shower as the toilet took up all avaiable space. Also in one room there is no cold tap in the shower making it impossible to do so as the water is burning hot. The first time we stayed here although the room was tired it was a good size, with one double bed and one single, and Angelo was so helpful that we decided to return when we came back to Lima for our flight back to Europe. If we had had the room of our second visit we would not have returned. There was a mix up with our booking and we were given a double room instead of a twin, this was fine but the bed was tiny as was the room and there was really no space to move. As well as this in the 6 weeks between our two visits it seemed to have transformed from a nice B&B into a hostle (the room we had origionally been in had gained bunk beds and there were more people wandering around and severly affected internet). One nice thing is that if you leave before breakfast you are given a bag with fruit and salt crackers (not always practial to eat - at the airport a mango and an avacado but still its the thought that counts!).

Very quite place, great to calm down after travelling. Situated in a nice neighbourhood in Miraflores with all main things in walking distance. Great breakfast. Biggest plus: local expert advice from Angelo on where to go and where to EAT!!!

We stayed in Lima at B&B for only 2 nights but it was enough to make an impression on us. The location is very good: in Miraflores, one of the safest places in Lima. The room was in perfect condition. And the owner Angelo was one of the most helpful hostel owner we've ever met. He gave us the best options for what to visit, what to do and where to eat. He even helped us with an issue, although he had nothing do with it: another hotel reservation in another country and he offered to make a phone call himself from his phone for free because he spoke that language well. He arranged the taxi for us and changed soles to dollars at a very good rate. Thanks again Angelo for your help.

We stayed 4 nights at this very pleasant B&B in the Millaflores neighborhood in Lima. It was a little tricky getting there - the street out front was under construction, and there is no sign, so be sure you know the address. But once there, we enjoyed our stay immensely. The room was comfortable and quiet and the shower had plenty of hot water. Breakfast was served either in your room or on the terrace. But most importantly, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, the owner (Angelo), was quite knowledgeable. When we arrived in Lima, we still needed to plan our next two weeks of travel. Angelo sat down with us and worked an itinerary, then booked it all for us at a very reasonable price. He also gave us a great overview of Millaflores, and we were able to restaurants etc. I would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely B&B.

First of all, an apology for not writing this earlier. We went to Peru in November and stayed here just before returning to the UK. We arrived very early in the morning and were served breakfast on the patio. Despite being in a busy area - Miraflores by the way is a lovely residential area of Lima - it didn't seem noisy or unpleasant. The house is comfortable and you can get into the centre of Lima very easily. The key to the success of B and B Tradiciones, however, is Angelo. He goes out of his way to make you feel at home and really can't do enough to help you find your way around. He is clearly proud of his city and is full of recommendations to ensure you enjoy yourself. Thank you, Angelo, for making our last few days in Peru stress-free and very enjoyable. Alan and Alison
